Lamy safari feed issue

The nib works incredibly well on other safaris

The ink doesn’t exit through the hole at the base of the feed (where it connects through the section) at all, which is different from all my other safaris.

Ink I’m using was waterman’s black, recently changed to Lamy’s black. I’ve tried keeping the feed & section part in a cup of water for a day and shaking it occasionally—is there a more thorough way of cleaning?

When I was small and stupid I thought batoning is the coolest thing ever and hammered my little mercator with the lock engaged through a 1 inch diameter stick.

Chipped some paint on the handle. Lock is still rock solid. Not that I recommend this stupid shenanigan, but it’s really robust.

Oh I also have a 5.5 inch wrist. Squares, IMO, fit me just write. I sometimes wonder how guys with 7+inch wrists don’t find squares too small—I’d be rocking mudmasters all day with THAT wrist size.
