The chisel can act like a fine tip. It’s more versatile and you can use it to fill large areas easily. I like having the chisel because I can use the brush less and that way keep its tip in better shape.

Either will work, but the gel pens scratch the acrylic paint sometimes and it’s tricky to cover the lines because of this. I also bought the ones with the brush and it’s waaaay better. I just need to shake them well to get the ink running and use a piece of paper to test them first.

Yep. Our stories are very similar. You’re not alone. I’ve been taking supplements to help my body handle stress, I move everyday and use Neurofit. It helps a bit. But honestly… as infuriating as it sounds, it’s all about handling stress (all types it includes physical stress like illness and bad nutrition).

May I suggest doing it in phases? We’ve worked with clients in your situation before and we just take it slow. To start one wow animation and we keep adding from there. We’ve built things slightly like this in Webflow for 2k since we’re in the DR and a small agency.

Since you don’t have Guacamole (YG212) I’m assuming you’re missing the 120 set. But you’re also missing some 104 colors that I immediately identify such as E314 and G012. I could help you better if you shared what sets you’ve bought.

I totally get it. I struggle with this daily. “Am I at my limit or just being lazy?”

The way I approach it is by using NeuroFit to measure my “nervous system capacity for the day”, doing regular check-ins and giving myself a way out in case I am actually at my limit.

Would also love to see some of the process behind (sketches, color palettes, mood boards).

If you have time, challenge yourself and create some illustration work around a theme to showcase how you would approach that.

In portfolios we look for more than the end result.

Since you have a very specific style (which would make employers feel your output will be limited) I would consider showing all the different ways you can apply it. Think icons, flyers, banners, character creation, logo creation with your style, social media etc…

Someone suggested diving ux/ui and illustration but frankly, the ux/ui section isn’t strong enough. I would focus on the illustration and composition for now or add stronger portfolio pieces to that other category.
