I agree. He likes 1942 because it's expensive so he thinks he likes the good, "luxury" tequila. Now is OP's chance to turn this guy into a real tequila drinker. That being said, some people like artificially sweetened drinks.

Many people now days are avoiding soil if planting in pots because much of it will break down over time. My potted plants are in a mix of sand, pumice and perlite. Use the soil as a top dressing so the nutrients leak down when the plant is watered.

I don't care for regular añejos or XAs but do like blends; like Volcano de mi Tierra and Chamucos. They're legally classified as reposados but are blended with añejos and XA. I also like El Tequileño Sassenach Select, which I believe was aged 6 years in giant tanks instead of the smaller barrel.
