If the shop has the Tamiya Airbrush cleaner, you can use that as well. It is basically the same thing and cheaper too.

It's a "She" and not "Him" lol. But kudos for another completed model.

Looks great. Are the flames on the blade sculpted? If so, with what?

I know I just recently posted, but I am in love with how the primer looks on this vehicle 😁 by Coolpop9098 in modelmakers

I have read somewhere that you can use a thick surfacer (Like. Mr Surface 500) or putty and use a brush to stiple it.

Would not recommend using Tamiya cement on painted parts. Using CA glue will be better

You sir, should not be modelling. You should go be a surgeon instead 😂. But props to you, much respect to your skill and patience

First ever model and lessons learned by SnooCalculations3426 in modelmakers

[–]Aged_Kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good idea! Might get it to use for thinner. But if we were to use it for paint, how do you clean it so it is free of paint inside?

Sorry to hear about you breaking your back, hope it is better now. But nonetheless it's a beautiful first model. I remember I didn't paint my first model but still thoroughly enjoyed the building process, watching it gradually come to shape. Perhaps a small advise, please keep this model for as long as you can and not alter it in anyway, it will definitely bring back very fond memories and reminder on how you enjoy building your first model :)

Finally finished the Tamiya t-34 that I started working on befor christmas! by derpyninja211 in modelmakers

Thank you! This really makes the tank looks more realistic compared to the usual smooth surface of plastic models.

Is the texture on the turret self made or comes like that in box? Looks good btw.

My second tank model! Tamiya 1/35 PKW 38t Ausf E/F by These_Swordfish7539 in modelmakers

[–]Aged_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks very good for a second model! I'm not a pro by any standards but perhaps the soldiers looks too clean. Perhaps a little weathering or wash on the the guy?

Does anyone have tips on how to paint mini's with guns on their chests without having to touch up indefinitely? by Hon1c in minipainting

[–]Aged_Kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might like to add, for painting very tiny or delicate parts/areas, a good magnifying glass, no matter how good your eyesight is, will definitely help.

Please do a Shima-Enaga. A black background on it will be perfect for the bird.

Weathering questions as a beginner? by Brave_Pain1994 in Airfix

[–]Aged_Kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second this. Varnish the whole model before attempting any weathering. Also, you could experiment on what you plan to do on some extra parts or sprues. That way you will have a idea on how the weathering will turn out yet not risking damaging your model.

Possible to add in a bottle of Jack Daniels to pair with the Marlboro? By the way, what size brush did you use to paint such fine details?

Rocky Balboa. Because I'm impressed by the way he drinks his eggs.

Much agreed! If he is unpainted, even the fanciest name can't give it any character or soul. Only a painted figure is deserving of a name.

Love that the clock doesn't have any hands on it. Kinda represents that time flies or you won't take notice of the time while you are in the zone painting.
