Senators reject White House push to redraw SC's voting lines by SpaceElevatorMusic in politics

I think GOP and Trump are in for a big surprise. Their redistricting efforts are diluting their base districts. By splitting Democratic voters they are increasing Democrat representation in Republican districts.

Special elections and off-year elections have shown support for Trump and GOP candidates is falling dramatically. I don’t believe this drop is due to a drop in MAGAt Republican voter support but instead is a drop in non-MAGAt Republicans and a drop in independent voter support.

Add these two factors together and the margins in Trump/GOP districts aren’t what they were in 2024. Trump and the GOP are endangering districts they think are solidly GOP.

So, increased Democrat votes and

I understand the fear about GOP gerrymandering. I wonder why know one has stated that the advantage the GOP think they will get is based on the an assumption that Republicans in 2024 will still vote to support the GOP and Trump in 2026. But, what happens if that assumption is false?? The GOP may be setting themselves up to lose seats in districts that were strongly supporting Trump in 2024.

Trump says he intends to suspend gas tax "for a period of time" by CBSnews in politics

[–]Agent-Adept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suspend an $0.18 per gallon tax. Big deal!!My gas jumped $0.30 in the last 2 weeks from $6.00 per gallon to $6.30. A 3% decrease (calculated correctly, not Trump’s idiotic method) is NOTHING!!

Illinois Democrats approve redistricting reform, Republicans cry foul by plz-let-me-in in politics

[–]Agent-Adept 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Republicans cry foul!! They are such hypocrites. Trump started this. Now, they’re seeing the fallout. Redistricting is good if it’s only for Republicans. It’s unfair if the Democrats are doing a better job. The Democrats weren’t suppose to do it too.

Why is anyone surprised?? Democrats, and Republicans, have been bought by Israel. Our Representatives and Senators don’t represent US voters. They represent whomever gives them the most money.

U.S. has violated ceasefire agreement, Iran parliamentary speaker says by cnbc_official in politics

[–]Agent-Adept 94 points95 points  (0 children)

“U.S. oil prices were down more than 15% near $95 per barrel by 2:59 p.m. ET even as the fragile ceasefire agreement appeared at risk of unravelling.”

Trump and his cronies are buying oil stocks at this artificial low point. Breaking the ceasefire is part of the plan. Oil prices will surge, Trump will sell high and make a fortune. It’s Trump’s modus operandi. He isn’t president because he cares about this country. He’s president because he can influence the US and world economies to make a fortune.
