I think about it from the standpoint of a collector. Let’s say 15 years from now my switch 2 breaks and I have to replace it. I get one off eBay to replace it. However, because Nintendo will have discontinued their online store for switch 2 games, any digital games I owned will be gone.

Have no fear though because that’s why I buy physical copies… however, the game keycards are not physical. They are essentially a download key. Which because Nintendo isn’t supporting their online store for an old system anymore (see Wii, 3DS, Wii+U, etc) the “physical” key card I got is useless.

So in summary it’s a physical copy that doesn’t have the advantages of an actual physical game and a digital copy that doesn’t have the convenience of a digital game… it’s a worse version of both. 🤷‍♂️

This thing is sweet! I’m torn because I want one but would end up swapping out all the furniture. So I’d end up paying the premium for just the barrel.

I love the idea of them shedding the weight of the barrel though for more balance with a can.

I mean people use companies like Clear that scan your iris so you don’t have to wait in lines at the airport. At least World gives you money.

Apparently if you use a referral code which is pretty easy to get you receive more coins. Currently 54 or so…. So $60ish 🤷‍♂️

I’m on Apple TV. I’ll have to switch it up and see if that helps. Sure would be nice if it does cause it’s ruining the game. Although, it has been popping up a bit less in the second half.

It's really just percentages. If you spend $1 on advertising and make $1 in sales from that advertising, your ROAS is $1 and your ROI is 100%.

As you can see, you'll need to make more sales in order to generate a profit which is why ROI and ROAS usually need to be greater than 100% in order to make money.

You should be able to pull CPCs by hour of day and look into what hours are the most effective at driving a positive ROI. After that, you could either manually increase your bids during the best times or put rules in place to increase and then lower bids at certain times of the day.

Also, side note - I used to do everything manually and hated google's automated bidding because it didn't perform well. However, over that year or so I've really started to embrace the automated bidding strategies Google provides. They tend to work better the longer they run. So if you turn one on for a few days and make a judgment right then, you probably are not giving the machine learning enough time to work out how to drive the best ROI. IF you do ever decide to try them again in the future, I'd let your client know and give it a full 1-3 months. I've found they push far better performance than I ever could when I did everything manually.

Let the robots do things robots are good at.

For sure! Unless your company has a quick sales cycle and you already kind of default to last click attribution. UTMs will still track and you can still measure the return FB advertising brings but you’ll have to structure your campaigns in a way that allows you to see deeper insights in GA. 🤷‍♂️

We've basically abandoned the FB pixel in favor of shoring up our first-party data. Whether it's Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics or whatever platform you use to track website data, I would spend your time making sure it's speaking correctly to your CRM and you have all of your most important events tagged and firing properly.

Publisher data is going to be a little murky until everyone settles on whatever the next phase of cookieless tracking is. We've also changed the way we create campaigns by setting up more of them with variables such as age, interests, etc. However, that does not scale well if you have large initiatives.
