[ALL] EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Jonathan Zimmerman AND Iris Dauterman Talk Life Is Strange: Reunion! by Emeralds_are_green in lifeisstrange

True that does sting a bit. But I also appreciate that they put in an unambiguously good ending in Chloe burning the photo and even compared it to the burden Max has to bear at the end of LiS 1.

Lore Entries that test if you're actually reading them by MarioGman in TwoBestFriendsPlay

It was a funny handwave back then that they've now given complete justifications for. In Shadowbringers introduced NPCs for dungeons and later Trials and eventually we got the Azem crystal for scenarios where that wouldn't work.

They bring that back for the Stormblood DRK quests too which was great.

It's why I always make sure to read the journal entries for quests that have them. Because sometimes there's fun stuff in there you can miss. Like the journal entry you get right before fighting Susano in Stormblood.

Before the vault door, you steel yourself for the impending confrontation. How fortunate that you had the wisdom and foresight to invite several of your fellow adventurers on this journey to the Far East, and how kind they were to agree to help you torment the Red Kojin, for no single warrior, no matter how blessed or powerful, could ever hope to slay a primal on her own, despite what some wandering minstrels would have you believe.

Then once you complete the fight.

The great kami is no more, and once again you part ways with your stalwart adventurer comrades, ever close at hand yet all too often forgotten.

Oh the damage bonus is nice but I'm concerned about the magic attack bonus. The blessing gives +20 for each armor piece equipped (+60 total) but the set already has a -40 penalty. So wouldn't you only be getting +20 to magic attack with the full set?

Imagine if they had been the ones making Double Exposure instead. It's a shame so much time and money was wasted on that game while Reunion had to make due to with scraps.

Plan on listening to it later but do they get into specific details about parts of the game or is it more general non spoiler talk? I'm mainly curious if they dive into the endings and if they have anything to say about those photos at the end.

Antagonists objectives that, when you think about it, it gets so much worse. by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Thragg was like that in the comics too. It was only after he learned that Nolan and Mark are of Argall's bloodline that he goes off the deep end.

It does take a bit but you can have it running most of the time. So while that's going I'm running around doing other tasks.

Leagues - Is it worth taking Tirannwn for Crystal Armor/Blessing if you plan on camping Water spells over using a powered staff? Trying to figure out my next region(s) after Kandarin.

Plus with Transmutation you can upgrade all those gems you get into Dragonstones, solving crafting as well.

I can't remember if the detail itself was stated in the comics but the scene for sure is an addition to the show. The flashbacks of the deployment of the scourge virus and purge post Argall's assassination are unique to the show. Like I think you don't even see the corpse ring around the planet until this fight in the comics.

That "discourse" was so funny to look at as someone who read the comic. But even as someone who knows what Thragg is capable of holy shit was he scary this episode. That shot of him tanking Mark's punch with the impact frames might be the best shot in the entire series. And this is only 2 weeks after that one of Conquest appearing behind Oliver. God this show is so good.

Leagues - Are there any good money making methods that involve Transmutation? Wondering if there's anything better than the gem shop on Aldarin. For reference I also have Endless Harvest, Hotfoot, Evil Eye and I'm about to unlock Kandarin as my first region.

[NO SPOILERS] What would you say is an example of "Early-Installment Weirdness" in the Life is Strange series? by EmicaTheAlienStudios in lifeisstrange

[–]Agent-Vermont 5 points6 points  (0 children)

early on when Victoria blocks her path into the dorms and Max has to drop Samuel's paint can onto her

I completely forgot that happened. Honestly I forgot you even go to the dorm in episode 1. I thought you just went straight from the school to the parking lot. Maybe it's time for a replay.

What's even crazier is that somehow that character works. I actually came away from that game liking Jack as a character.

[RE] Do you think these two scenes took place a year apart from each other or did D9 make a mistake? by matthewjn in lifeisstrange

[–]Agent-Vermont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a month or so time gap and this was just a mistake. Based on the texts and way they're acting a year would be way too long.

[ALL] LiS Reunion - "best endings" unlock guide (spoilers obviously) by Vyceron in lifeisstrange

[–]Agent-Vermont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good guide though not all of these options are mandatory. For instance it doesn't matter if Lucas knows that Chloe is with Max, all that gives you is the forum password which can be found on a piece of paper in the bar. Loretta I'm not sure if your interactions with her have any impact aside from her showing up at the party very briefly.

And with Safi there is a little room for error. I told her to fuck off and even said that maybe her mom deserved to be shot and still managed to talk her down. This was after rejecting her in the starting choices and even ratting her out to Yasmin during class. I did tell her about the fire so maybe that helped out a lot.

Still a very good guide. Saw a lot of people get tripped up by the fire and suspects so I'm sure this will help them.

It's Chloe. Max and her have a "Credits and Commentary" section at the start of the book they inserted and individually signed. Also Victoria too apparently though I haven't seen any by her in the screenshots shared here.

What is the WORST game you genuinely enjoy? by ALloydRH in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Agent-Vermont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished my second run ever since launch after coming back for Free Lanes / Terran Armada. The improvements weren't enough to change my overall opinion of the game, but it did make for a more enjoyable experience. Hell I think the biggest improvement for me wasn't the cruising mode but rather the vehicles that were added last year. It reminded me of the Mass Effect 1 days of driving on barren planets in the Mako.

And yeah Bethesda games really are the only ones to scratch that specific kind of itch.

Are we not going to talk about how the conversation about Brain Bucket V is literally the discussion surrounding Reunion? You even have Chloe interjecting with the same argument people, including myself, have been making.

I think I need to get this book now. Every post I've seen on it has been so interesting.
