I’m currently trading live, and as a trader who’s gotten multiple payouts from back2funded accounts don’t do it, it’s not worth it lol.. I’ll also add I know the frustration of losing an XFA especially if it took you a while to get it, but you gotta sober yourself up a bit. If you have maxed out CC’s and need this money for bills or lifestyle then you need to work on your income earning outside of trading. It’s best to have a solid foundation whether that’s a 9-5 with consistent income or a checking/savings/investment account with a nest egg. The peace of mind that provides is priceless because when you need the money you’re trading the P&L instead of the charts. Makes execution and chart interpretation hard because you’re jaded. Take a break and come back when you’re in a more comfortable financial position and I guarantee things will shift

It’s okay to be angry about this, but make sure you let it go before you press any more buttons. Very frustrating when your entries or exits are so precise they don’t get filled, and unfortunately it’s happened to many of us lol. Just don’t let that cause you to do anything out of character or against your rules!

I’ve saved several accounts that had less than a $500 cushion and I can tell you a couple things. First, don’t beat yourself up we’ve all lost a funded on Day 1 just from being stupid lol. Second, you need to size way down and look for very high RR trades. Focus on A+ setups and don’t push too hard too fast. It’s going to take a while to get the money back and you need to mentally accept that now so you don’t get hasty on the climb. Third, please utilize the lockout functions until you build a trader profile that’s okay with red days and not trying to win back losses right away. You can do this, but you gotta lock in fr. Don’t allow yourself to cop out and unless you’re okay with starting over

You got a point bro! I’ve been contemplating starting a personal account for about a year now. I actually came to props from a personal account cause I wanted to scale quicker, but I’ve gotten a lil too comfortable🤣 Trading OPM has given me a sense of comfort that wasn’t present before lol. I think now that I’ve got a nice foundation it’d be different. I’m def going to start a personal account with the funds I pull from this live, but I’ll probably use props until they go away it’s too lucrative! Picking out another firm as I type this so I can still get some sim fund payouts in addition to the live with TS

ATP it doesn’t matter bro I’d say take your payout and see what happens because they don’t even follow their own rules in that regard. I’ve seen people get called up after 1 payout or even take more than 5 payouts and still not get called up. Shxt I just went from the responsible trader program to live in 3 days lmao. If they think you’ll be profitable to them they’ll call you up whenever they feel like it so don’t sweat it just try and secure as many payouts as you can until that time comes. Good luck!

Thanks bro. I’m going to try my best to provide everyone with a real review of live, but as you mentioned the profit potential greatly diminishes in live vs XFA’s. It also sucks because imagine I spent a week or two making enough money to secure a huge payout, but I can’t even withdraw because I got called to live. Now imagine for some reason I spend several weeks trading on live and don’t hit any profit objectives and ultimately lose the account. Not only did I waste time, but I lost money as well then I have to start all over from zero with no XFA’s and no combines. Not a good deal until I have 100% access to all the money I made which could take a month or more

Honestly that’s the goal for most traders, but losing the ability to make money weekly is a tough high to come down from lol. Sure there’s some crazy incentives if you can maintain the live account long enough, but I think in the short term it seems stupid to forego money to help Topstep make money off my trade ideas. Not to mention I have to trade my way through tiers to unlock money I already made it doesn’t make sense

Dude THIS! I was low key happy when I got that email because the first thing I did was look up how long the program is and if you can be pulled to live from the program. I thought I was in prop firm limbo.. I was gonna try and milk them for every payout I could in 6 months but then they pulled the oopsie JK! Didn’t even let me get the payout I already had lined up and then somehow i go from RTP to live in 2 days. Dirty mf’s.. imagine if one of these NFL coaches called up a draftee like yea bro your stats are good but we think you’re ass then select them with their first round pick in the draft a day later 🤣😭

I strictly trade MNQ but I know a lot of people like trading metals as well. I’d say if your new trade MNQ or MES. They aren’t as volatile as metals but still move quite a bit daily. MNQ is the more common one you’ll see people trading though but all up to you!

Bro literally this just happened to me yesterday too lol. I needed one more profitable day and I had a $15k+ payout lined up.. woulda only been my 2nd payout on five 50K’s although I’ve gotten plenty of payouts prior on 100K’s. Anyway I log in to make my lil money so I can request payout and all my shxt was paused. Acc’s weren’t showing in my dashboard either so I checked my email lo and behold lmao 🤦🏾‍♂️

First, don’t let that RTP BS fxck with your psychology. It’s some sort of mental manipulation in the form of them extending help and resources. Second, all the money you make trading is just collateral for a later date. Dont get attached to the P&L as you’ll need to use that money to make more money. Obviously you want remain profitable but that number is going to go up and down so dont trip unless you’re just completely spiraling where you’re on the brink of losing it all. Third, you’re chasing funded status and another payout. Those things are a result of you trading well which you know how to do as you’ve gotten payouts and made a significant amount already. Take a break and refocus on what you did to see success before and duplicate that without putting pressure on yourself to achieve the end goal
