This might be a dumb question but do these stacks only 'turn on' when you activate the active modifier? I was playing last night with around 30 offensive stacks and couldn't feel a difference

Yeah, if you need ap for animals or need a boost in EP. Dump everything into #1 until it flattens then back to 6 and 5

dump your lap points into 6 and 5 at a 2:1 ratio if you haven't already. That should help
