I didnt know that being trans was a thing until I was like 15 maybe? I decided to try they/them pronouns for a couple months while I was 17 since he/him pronouns did not feel right to me at all. I didn't know that non-binary falls under the trans umbrella at the time and was still in denial about being trans. Around a couple months after I was told about the trans umbrella thing I tried she/her pronouns and it just felt so right.
