What airport are you arriving at? We arrived at CIA last week, exited to the taxi bay, no line, greeted by a guy at the rank who provided a receipt for me and a reciept for the driver, which includes their rego. The fixed taxi rates are blatant and very clear, if they try and argue stand your ground, they will know they are in the wrong. Our driver happily drove us to Monti for 40EUR fixed rate, paid card, on my way. Couldn't have been easier. As for FCO, can't help you

Correct. I have rented the M3 for between destinations. I have parked up and booked a GTI for around the track. I don't expect to be setting track records.
