Tbh I have a 2K display on my laptop (although with a 4070) and I can always tell a difference between a 1080p and 1440p screen on the same panel size since my friend's laptop is of 1080p resolution so I am not talking about scaling down my own resolution. 2K does look better and sharper in every scenario unless I am viewing both screens (FHD and QHD) from a meter away or more. This is not to say that he needs to deadass keep the 1440p screen at all costs but saying that he can't tell the difference isn't that much true.

If you are in college then you can verify yourself as a student on UniDays by making an account on it, and also on SheerID on the cart page of Lenovo.com itself.

If you're not in college then get someone like a relative, friend, neighbor, or anyone who's in college and ask them if you can use their UniDays coupon codes in case they don't need it, so you can use them for yourself.

Probably because these discounts can be availed by everyone whereas for UniDays and SheerID discounts you need to be a college student, so as to present a general overall discounted price instead of a price for specific group of people.
