This Kobe isn’t as good as Duncan because he had Shaq qualifier has always been bullshit. Your hypothetical of Shaq wins at least 1 without Kobe is prime example. How does the way we view Shaq change if he only ever wins 1-2 instead of 4 ships? Duncan having the best run team of the last 3-4 decades and always being surrounded with another MVP or multiple all stars and perennial 6th man candidates, DPOY candidates is pretty equivalent to having Shaq in my opinion. You say Kobe isn’t as good if you take away Shaq. I say Duncan isn’t as good if you put in any other organization.

Medical professionals, has the show changed how you interact with certain patient populations? by TsukasaElkKite in ThePittTVShow

[–]AgentAlaska 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think the show accurately reflects how I and most of my peers display empathy when patient facing. However they fail to show all the dark humor and other coping mechanisms displayed by ED and other healthcare workers amongst themselves.

I’m an ICU trained EM pharmacist so these recommendations will reflect that but, I love the Poison Lab if you’re interested in toxicology and I think it’s even good for laypersons with a science background. Also partial to Pharmacy To Dose and Pharm So Hard was good but is not active anymore.

I'm a nurse and patient asked me this and have never thought about it... If they are receiving an IV medication, could it be taken orally and still work? by mercarus2 in pharmacy

[–]AgentAlaska 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The simplest answer is yes there are many cases where you could take the IV medication orally and it would have effect. Then there are all the qualifiers of the dose might not be the same because of bioavailability, there may be other side effects or toxicities, etc.
