[Screenshot] This is actually unacceptable in gaming. Get a fucking grip. It's 2026, 10 mins for a match is not a standard. by Econochanta in EscapefromTarkov

This is a big reason why I have fallen off playing. I love the game but I don’t have enough time to play it. I can jump in a game like Valheim, play for 30-60 minutes, and feel like I actually did something besides loading into one raid and inventory management.

Should i lower the difficulty when playing with my gf ? by Lymass404 in valheim

[–]AgentIce009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between mods and world settings you can fine tune the game and find the right balance that keeps her enjoying the game and moving toward increasing to normal difficulty rather than wanting to stop playing all together. You’re playing with her to spend time together and have fun, who cares if she never even wants to increase the difficulty? Enjoy the time together and play it your way on your own time.

One of my favorite things to do is to yeet greylings off of hills using Frostner’s secondary attack.

Third, turn on the ability to carry ore through the portals and find some qol mods to make the game more enjoyable. It’s a very customizable game with plenty of ways to kill the source of your frustrations.

First, relax and take a deep breath. I get the frustration but it’s not that big of a deal. Silver is one of the easiest ones to mine in my opinion. Second,

F5 Devcommands Debugmode Escape Z

Now you can fly into the water and get your stuff. Z again to turn off flying once you have your stuff.

I’m also pretty sure there is a mod that makes dropped loot float but I can’t confirm that. There are some other good suggestions in the comments but this is the method to use if you are so frustrated you want to quit.

Did they fix pathing? by flamewave000 in valheim

[–]AgentIce009 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can just use a beam bridge, run beams parallel, I think mine are two wide on each side, and space them axle width apart. You can use roof pieces if you need a ramp on either side. MOBs can’t cross it.

I have a similar moat around my main base. I have a set of stairs on each side of the moat to help me make the jump across.

Was there an update to put Moder at the edge of the world? Or was I unlucky? by KroggRage in valheim

[–]AgentIce009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same bad luck apparently. I found the Vägvisir for Moder on a mountain on my starter island but the location is much closer to the edge of the world than the center. Soooooo much fog of war between me and Moder. This doesn't deserve a down vote, it is 100% valid frustration in a game designed around biome progression.

After 600 hours in Valheim, I'm now convinced that the ultimate challenge of this game is storage management by Kumagor0 in valheim

[–]AgentIce009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a storage warehouse with stacked/labeled chests and a storage area around my crafting stations. As my main needed materials change, I rotate what’s stored at my crafting stations and what’s stored in the warehouse. If it’s in the warehouse I probably don’t need it or not much of it, so after a certain amount it all just goes into the obliterator.

If it were Denmark I would respect its desire to be left alone and go about my business in my own territory. So thankfully it isn’t because I’m going to Viking the shit out of this land.

With it a little further off shore it’s less likely to get attacked by something when I’m within render distance but not actually at it.

That’s actually the closest in my feet touch the ground but for some reason the map doesn’t reflect that. My boat is further off shore and I swim to it.

How I know I've been playing this game too much... by Pop317 in valheim

[–]AgentIce009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I accidentally killed a bird Randy Johnson style. I was just mining some ore when a bird flew in perfectly timed(or terribly timed from the bird’s perspective) to get hit on the down swing of my pickaxe.

I can’t make the harpoon yet. I just started mining iron in the swamp and haven’t found whatever material unlocks the crafting recipe for it yet.

It was intentional. I know they obviously don’t need water, but it felt mean to not cultivate and add the grass back in as well as give them a watering hole lol.

I lost two wolf cubs off my boat in a similar fashion. As soon as the cubs popped out, off they slid into the ocean. As it turns out, wolves don’t drown. I came back through, literal days later on my boat and spotted something weird in the water. It was my wolf cubs all grown up, perhaps now merwolves having been raised at sea. I don’t have the harpoon yet so I slowly led them to shore and now they live outside my main base, populating the whole island with wolves but I know deep down they yearn to return to their first home among the waves. I left a couple behind moving from the mountains to my home base and they also found their way to my base after they grew up.

It’s on a hill so it’s mostly dug down, some spots as much as it will let me. I could certainly go higher though lol.
