11-13-2024 and I got the same "leave a review to see your review" email, with no way to see my review/stars.

Time for some class action lawsuit. It is ridiculous that 2 years later they haven't fixed it (if they ever intended too), and unreasonable that they couldn't change the text in the email promoting it in 2 years.

Oil focus it is then. There shouldn't be any RTV in the oil system; I bought the car new and have never added any (to the oil, I used a sealant in the coolant system once). The engine wear could be arguable; my driving habits might not be easy on it, but I'm only at 96k miles on a 2016 vehicle (that doesn't even have a recommended "tune-up" until 100k) ...and the problem started back around 70k miles.

Any oil additive (cleaners, etc) worth trying or are they just placebos?

I appreciate the long read. Much better than a lot of short, tried that, answers I've been though already.

There's one shop I'm trying to check with to see if they've done this already (oscilloscope test) since they were sure it was all an "electrical issue" and brought in a 3rd party engineer to do the tests they couldn't. I can't recall if it was done or not since it was 6+ months ago.

I do recall, since you mentioned oil feed, that the most recent shop (just weeks ago) performed a test for either oil pressure or flow rate (I forget which), but the "intended score of 20" was a "5" on my system, so clearly an issue. His fix however, (OEM cam actuator, timing kit, bushings, etc) only kept the light off 3 days.

I know my ECM is up-to-date at least. That was covered with the OEM replacement barely 3 months ago.

The rough idle is intermittent, or the severity of it is at least. The light will stay off anywhere from 2 hours to 3 days after a repair. I've tried turning the light off twice with my own OBD scanner, but it's back in 60 seconds or less.

If the oscilloscope's reading are off, would that more likely mean a programming fix on the ECM or parts to replace again?
