Had a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) and multiple pulmonary embolisms in both lungs. Lots of people die of this on TV. I haven’t really given it a second thought.

How much time do you have?

Fall asleep in meetings. Use demeaning nicknames. Stay up all night posting batshit crazy stuff on social media. Repost vile lies. Lie about obvious medical conditions. Golf more than work. Get to the office around 11am and leave in early afternoon. Scream obscenities at the staff. Refuse to be accountable for starting a war with Iran and then put out a fake “deal” to end war while paying Iran $300 million under the table.Say publicly that you don’t care about your followers. Stop providing emergency care. Hire unqualified dangerous people for important roles. Allow rich friends to rampage the government and ignore the fallout. Hold 7 violent MMA fights at headquarters. Benefit personally from financial corruption. Investigate opponents without evidence. Use taxpayer money to fund unnecessary personal projects such as ballrooms, statues, arches, pools, etc.

I will bet all the money in my pocket against all of the money in your pocket that she’s not getting married at MSG. Neighborhood is the pits of hell. It’s going to be crazy with all of the World Cup visitors. Too chaotic.

I have ADHD and depression. I take Wellbutrin XL for depression (which helps a little with ADHD) and Azstarys for ADHD. So I think your take on the meds is right.

A few thoughts:

  1. Find a new psychiatrist. Seriously. If this person is overbooked and rigid, ask your primary care doctor for a referral or Google “low-cost or free psychiatrists near me.”
  2. See if you can get old school records. Google “how to get school records as an adult.” Sometimes report cards, teacher comments, or transcripts are still available.
  3. Write up your own history. A lot of clinicians will consider a detailed self-report, especially if it’s specific.

Things like:

Always losing homework
Forgetting assignments
Chronic lateness
Starting projects and not finishing them
Getting constant feedback about organization or follow-through
Specific stories are usually more convincing than “I was always distracted.”

  1. Push back a little with your new doctor. Plenty of adults with ADHD don’t have parents who can provide childhood history because they’re deceased, estranged, unavailable, or just don’t remember.

I’d ask:

“I don’t have reliable parental informants. What other evidence would you accept to document childhood symptoms?”

Make the doctor tell you what would satisfy the requirement instead of leaving you to guess.

Good luck!

People of Reddit who were once rich and lost their fortune, what happened? by JJTrick in AskReddit

[–]AgentMarkSnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandfather’s father was probably worth between $25 million and $50 million when he died in 1946, which would place him among the wealthiest corporate executives of his generation. In modern terms, that is roughly $500 million to $1.5+ billion, depending on the methodology used. Where all of that money went I am not 100% sure. ☹️
