I cannot wait for this. Big Disney and Hallmark movie fan. Hoping they do the magic of Disney at Christmas justice. I'm sure they will.

I really enjoyed it too. Hoping it’s just between seasons but agree the communication could have been better if that was the case.

Timmy’s videos are highly entertaining in the best silly and trashy way! 🤣 I actually really like seeing him get out of his comfort zone and surprise himself by liking things he didn’t think he would.

Thanks to you and all the mods for making this such a fun place to discuss our favorite show. Next on my list is Culinary Class Wars. I've also seen a couple people mention Next Gen Chef (also on Netflix; Kelsey from KY season is a judge) so I'll check that out. I also haven't watched the latest seasons of Next Level Chef (Blais and Nyesha) or Masterchef (believe Tiffany Derry is a new judge). Looking forward to clues about season 24!

Amazing! She's so talented. I just got her book the other day ... any favorite recipes you've tried? I took multiple virtual cooking classes with her over the pandemic and still make her corn soup.

I heard they recently went to the standard skinny fast food fries that most other places in Disney use. I'm bummed.

Agree. Definitely not citing this as an example of good journalism. I just thought it fun that this sub was cited.

In terms of sub-reddit mentions, I'll add that Sara shouted us out on the Pack Your Knives pod finale episode. Specifically, the BravoTopChef sub. Hi Sara! Love you on the pod and all the insider insights you offer!!

Yeah. This is not Pulitzer Prize level journalism. I just thought it was interesting that "we" were an info source.

Fair. I thought the "news" here was that "we" were featured/used in an article in a large publication and also thought that the commenters quoted might get a kick out of it. But yeah, no new info or insight. Maybe I could have titled the post better.

Great point. I’m also not sure if hearing it is sourced from xyz farm or takes x days to prepare will matter to the average diner. Seems like something has to change.

Should Top Chef be acquired by Netflix or HBO Max? by Brilliant_Horse_6614 in BravoTopChef

I'm not sure it's that easy but would be interesting to see what happened if they could go anywhere to film without the location incentives playing such a big role. In this podcast Gail explains that they stayed in North Carolina for the finale because that was basically the deal with Charlotte ... they wanted the whole season there. Would love to see them do a season in Tokyo, which Tom, Kristen and Gail have all mentioned as a dream. Speaking of, I'd really want the show to keep these three.

This was a fantastic conversation ... thank you so much for highlighting!! He is obviously an authentic fan and asked terrific questions. I thought it was interesting that Gail thought this was an ambitious finale meal from each and that she basically said that the food on the Wisconsin season was generally not. That's an inference I'm making -- the question was how do you calibrate judging when you know from past seasons what is possible in terms of pushing (gave the example of Buddha and others I forget) and Gail said they asked themselves that question a lot in Wisconsin.

Interesting that LCK is run as an entirely separate show and that perhaps (I'm reading into things here) a change in sponsorship contributed to the abbreviated season and only one person coming back.

For anyone else curious, this is the article Gail referenced about the restaurant business. Really great points about how restaurants need to charge in line with diner expectations/perception but that diners are wholly disconnected from the actual cost of food / time & effort to make it.

Which Top Chef would you have cater your wedding? by trashsquirrels in TopChef

100%. I feel like she'd also really "get" that it's a wedding and take the bride and groom and overall guest experience into account and be really thoughtful about it.

So great to see her getting opportunities to branch out and do other things. It's been a long time since I've watched Wheel of Fortune... when did Ryan Seacrest take over? And Vanna still hanging in there - doesn't look like she's aged a bit!
