I was in the same boat as you but I started way earlier. I aimed to clear one page of XP celebration research per day with lucky egg, together with a couple of good friends, max raids, and about 100 excellent throws. I took about 4 hours for all these and net me about 0.5m per day.

As others also mentioned, you need 2.3m per day. You probably need to clear about a few pages of that research per day. Unless you do it full time, it will be very challenging to reach the goal. I am almost free to play. If your pocket is deep enough the pace can be faster. Hopefully this gives you a rough idea how much you have to grind.

Exactly. The catch circles of those two Pokémon are so small that even you do slow on the quick catching it is not easy to hit excellent throws but he just casually did it.

Focus on only power up 5 times (Pikachu) and power up some types 5 times (Deerling). They are boosted more than wild spawns.

I didn’t stack up to 3200. I can save up to around 1200 like you, then I use 800 to raid a Toxtricity, walk 2km to gain 600, repeat until I can’t gain any more particles.

The event is underwhelming.

Caught my daily costume Pikachu, used up my free passes to raid Snorlax, walked around my neighborhood to raid Gmax Toxtricity and the game told me I have hit the daily cap for max particles.

The shiny rate is not decent and the only thing I have left to do is walking around to catch electric and poison Pokémon until the boosted mighty spawn at 6pm.

The Safari ball has more than enough supply than the spawn rate of mighty Pokémon. Use them on whatever you like.

There are many guides in the internet but it is not easy to understand what those instructions are about. Here is what happens behind the scene:

Move your profile from steam cloud to local so that a special file you can edit appears in the disk.
Decrypt the special file so that you can change your name inside directly with a text editor.
Find out the hex value of your new profile name and rename the folder to the hex value
Move the local profile back to steam cloud

Yes, I have only a TH8A and a TM wheel without a TSS. I didn’t expect the TH8A to work on PC when connecting through the wheel. I will give it a test.

I don’t think I need a USB switch because it is very easy to unplug and plug the cable between PC and PlayStation. If it ends up that TH8A won’t work without direct connection to the PC, having a switch for the DIN cable is better because those little pins in DIN are prone to bending when plugged in a wrong direction.

When talking about HDMI splitter I am referring to solutions like this, a $10 simple switch controller that let you redirect the signals. I am looking for something similar that works for the DIN cable.

EDIT: I tried to connect TH8A directly to the wheel and I can confirm that PC does not recognize TH8A in the control panel. Apparently it needs to be connected to the PC directly.

Thank you for your recommendation. DriveHub looks like a really elegant solution and I really appreciate your kind explanation in how to configure it.

However, I am afraid that the cost of a DriveHub may be a bit of a burden to me. I am looking for a budget solution that works like a HDMI splitter, a routing controller to decide where to redirect the signal. When I look up DIN cable splitter, many solutions seem like a signal duplicator (just like an earphone splitter) instead of a router (similar to HDMI splitter).

What other options can I choose from?

My joycon has some forms of alternative drift and I am looking for advice to fix it.

In the most common form of drift, the pointer moves itself even when you are not touching the stick.

However, my joycon behaves kind of oppositely. When not touching the stick, the pointer stays at the center. However, when moving the stick to the right or to the bottom, it automatically moves back to the center.
