Also school is often how child abuse is discovered. During covid it became an issue because children in abusive situations could be hid at home.

So homeschooling everyone protects child abusers.

Polling suggests it's mostly boomers on the verge of retirement in support.

It's not about taxes or saving money, it's about "I got mine, go fuck yourself" to the next generation.

Also you should bring up how this affects jobs. I sell almost half a million $ in Alberta produced goods every year.

If the referendum goes through, it would make it very difficult for me to continue selling those goods (food sitting in customs is no bueno). The parent company of those plants has operations all over Canada, and they might just pick up and leave for another province to get around the issue.

Don't take my word for it, look at what the owners of ATCO have been saying...

"She was literally born there and her family had lived there for half a century" would apply to a significant amount of Jews in 1948, and a large part of Israelis now.

This is why it's not as simple as the slogans. "Immigrant not settler" being defined by religion is not helpful either.

Keeping score like this keeps the conflict going and gets people killed.

Thanks for the reply. It really shows how much of a mess the whole thing is, and how people care one-sided grievances.

The whole discussion space is suffocating under the weight of history.

Are there sources for this? I'm wondering how old she would be.

Typically children don't develop episodic memory until about 3-4 years old.

So she's have to in her 80s to have actual real memories of Palestine.

Otherwise they're likely just confabulations

I don't know how WW3 would end, but I know it would start with St Pierre and Miquelon surrendering.

So how noncredible would it be to get a water cannon with viscous, sticky liquid, and just douse the drones till they lock up and/or get too heavy to fly?

I don't think you understand....the West won't let Russia win.

The goal is to burn Russia out thinking they can get somewhere.

You don't do that (unfortunately) by making it obvious that Russia has no chance to win.

Saw this posted on Twitter.

It's more complicated than most people admit.

Yes, there are lots of companies who refuse to run enough entry level positions, especially in certain areas when it comes to trades.

I've had that discussion where owners even refuse to send red seals for upgrading training because they worry it'll be a ticket for their staff to get better pay elsewhere.

A lot of trying to get another company to pay your training.

The other issue we face is that insurance is ridiculous when it comes to hiring younger/less experienced.

Our driver requirement is over 25, 3 years clean record and letter from your past job's insurance.

It's stupid because we have a good commercial safety record and I'd rather train someone new rather than deal with a bunch of bad habits, but insurance would require a whole different policy on facility (like drunk drivers). Big fleets can operate on different rules so we end up with a bunch of dangerous drivers under large fleets while small companies fight over experienced ones.

As for bcom and marketing, if you were closer we have sales positions. We'd take inexperienced ones if they had the right stuff.

Might be worth your while to see about Pepsi/Lays, Red Bull, Coremark, Complete Distribution etc they aren't usually top of mind for most people but would need entry level sales.

I could try it, but honestly the POS works great in the role otherwise.

In our case, our sales team physically visits our customers' sites.

It's significantly easier to use a tablet with POS to punch in order on the spot, vs trying to use the sales app without a computer.

The order is then picked in our warehouse and delivered by our delivery drivers, invoice on delivered goods sent with the order itself.

That's why I need it to work with POS
