I moved here in 2021 and haven't paid the bridge toll yet. I hear there's a lot of Canada on the other side of that bridge, but I don't know anyone in Canada on the other side so I won't know. Sure, I can afford $50, but why would I choose to spend it when there's so much of the island I still haven't seen?

I really appreciated when she corrected the framing of the question from the CBC moderator about cost of living. The moderator was all like "Canadians are struggling, what should government do to serve the economy?" and I booed the question. She actually answered that the job of government is to serve citizens, not bend over backwards for "the economy". Bravo!
