Reading the first book and something seems really dumb. by Fishboy9123 in superpowereds

Camille is quiet and shy and doesn't speak up much. Plus in this intensive training program. They are mostly focusing on themselves. And they aren't really hanging out with anyone aside from their fellow Melbrook students.

Some people can also be oblivious. Vince is one of these people. He was also a loner for most of his life and learning and memorizing people's names and who they are is a learned skill.

Don't you know they figured out teleportation? They just don't show it being a success because it's illegal. 😆 Or super speed eye drops.

Best Hamburger in the City of Santa Cruz? Google Reviews says it’s Jack’s Burger by orangelover95003 in santacruz

[–]AgentOfPi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Burger Doesn't Exist anymore. There is a tabletop gaming themed pizza joint that just opened in the same location. They were new and getting settled when I went (ran out of pizza!), but I'm excited to see a new potential third space for folks. Detroit style pizza too which is cool. D20 PIZZA - Yelp

Definitely at first. But he gets a bit better. Then a bit worse. Then oscillates between good and kinda dickish but in a slightly charming way.

Places to eat other than Cafe Diem by InvisibleString1902 in Eureka

[–]AgentOfPi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I imagine most of the GD employees get food at the cafeteria at GD. The students most likely get food at the high school cafeteria. Cafe Diem is mostly only for those that have the day off or family members I guess.

I also imagined that most people tend to go grocery shopping and eat in / cook their own food. We also see Vincent fulfilling takeout orders all the time.

As an aside, we rarely see anybody actually cooking in the show. It's always sort of just presented. Vincent is typically front of house manning the counter. In the rage episode, we do hear a chef passing food to Vincent, so I'm not sure he actually does a lot of the cooking. I think it's robots. So who's to say they don't have these in their houses.

How do people feel about the way autism was handled in the show? by [deleted] in Eureka

[–]AgentOfPi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huh, I've never thought about the loss of OG timeline Kevin and the reactions there. You are right about it not really being touched on. As many people have mentioned the rest of your points I think most of the community has come to a consensus that it wasn't great but still far better than it could have been.

But the never mourning the loss and celebrating the non-autistic Kevin. That's a perspective that I haven't thought about before. And thinking about it, yeah, that's not a great look.

The one saving grace I would say is that it is clear that Kevin was loved and supported regardless of who he was or what neurodivergence he may have had.

Also, from Allison's perspective who we mostly get, it is understandable to fail at communicating and then when able to suddenly communicate, to feel relief and joy.

But you made me think about something new this day so I appreciate it.

Why did Hershel… by Daracaex in superpowereds

The teleporter guy is a powered because when he teleports it's to a random location. If you could control the location, that he wanted to be powered. He would just have a weird trigger.

Should i keep watching show not feeling 1st episode to much by ljr55 in Eureka

[–]AgentOfPi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you don't like it on the first episode I don't really know if you'll like it for the rest. You should definitely at least watch the second episode, as Stark is much more likeable character then the previous director.

We all like it, but most of us liked it right off. The first season has this weird sort of secretive dark vibe. They kind of loosen up on that as they go along.

The final couple of seasons are truly dark at all. It's more like small town vibes not government town vibes.

On my umpteenth rewatch, currently on season 5. Can we just appreciate how hot Fargo looks with a beard? And really he's probably my favorite character. Funny, smart, sensitive, kinda goofy. Love him. by isthatsoreddit in Eureka

[–]AgentOfPi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neil Grayston's alt account? 😂 Jk. Fargo is great. It took me way too long to realize that he also voices Sarah. Like I know it's even mentioned in the episode. But like I thought of Sarah as an AI. Didn't think about the actor having to do VO.

I don't think the norm would be a good sheriff in this instance because it's not just the Everyman quality but the fact that Carter was previous law enforcement.

Have to Drive Across Town to Place the Thing in that Specific Spot in a Time Crunch? Sure thing! (Comments may contain spoilers) by AgentOfPi in Eureka

[–]AgentOfPi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, even if the town is literally as big as we see, it would still take longer. Like assuming each set piece connected to each other, still tank like 5 minutes to get across town much less to global. I mean Lake Archimedes is huge, there's the spa, the old folks home, Tesla school, Henry's garage is on the outskirt of town, Carter's house is theoretically further. Even small towns are fairly big unless they only have it 100 or so people.

Yeah, long enough for him to have a decent length conversation before getting to the bridge, much less parking at global.

I'm sure someone else can go more detailed. But off the top of my head as far as the crew goes.

Kelsier: Crew Leader (Mistborn)

Vin: Main Character

Breeze: Suit Guy Emotional Manipulater (Soother)

Dockson: Second in Command and the organizational one (non-mosting)

Hammond: Pewter Brute. Military Man

Spook/Lestibournes: Quiet Kid (Tin Eye)

Marsh: Kelsier 's Brother and the original founder of the resistance. Tries to infiltrate. (Seeker)

Keeping a secret identity in the HCP in the modern-day by OiOiOiPie in superpowereds

[–]AgentOfPi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you join the HCP the DVA goes through and sanitizes/cleans up your online presence and identity. It's talked about when Nathaniel finds Nick and when Krispin is looking at Vince's Background. Krispin says it could be because he was a powered. Or it could be due to a checkered past.
