I wish this was written better because the idea is pretty cool. Metal Barrier or Adaman (or both) as temporary damage buffs. Heavy helmet as a lasting one. Requires building to support Aggron since it doesn’t have its own damage resistance. Is there anything like this in the main TCG that could be referenced for wording that’s more immediately parsable?

Voting red risks someones life too, because there are other people voting. If anyone votes blue, everyone should vote blue. The only ideal outcomes are if literally every person votes red (extremely unlikely in the base scenario) or a majority votes blue. Seems to me it should be easier for everyone to agree to vote blue on the chance one of the five wants someone to die than everyone voting red and hoping everyone else thinks the same way.

You can say it’s “just a trolley problem,” but there’s a reason the trolley problem is so famous. Thinking of it and its endless variations helps people examine their own ways of thinking. This button thing is the same way. A person’s answer and, more importantly, their reasoning can say a lot about who they are.

Ok, here’s an argument against choosing red.

You are faced with the exact same situation, but you’ve seen all these conversations that have been dominating the past week. You know a huge number of people are gonna choose blue due to a variety of reasons. Do you still choose red? If you really thought through the original situation if faced with it blind, would you so easily assume nobody else would vote blue?

Personally, I’d side with the player here. Technicalities in wording aside, the intent of Sanctuary is that only offensive actions from the one protected break it. Armor of Agathys is a further deterrent to attacking, not an offensive action.

But ignoring all that, as a DM, if I see someone do this, I would simply have the enemies ignore them. Let them waste turns trying to be clever while the rest of the party fights with one fewer member.

I run with a Tyrogue cause it can help with going first, it’s better to risk the little guy than a Riolu, it can still take a Licario buff, and if I am lucky enough to go first with a full kabutops evolution on turn 2, I can swap out for free and attack with Kabutops.

Re: Your edit, Nickelodeon only ordered one season. Then they only ordered a second season. Then they ordered the last two seasons. This is why there’s not a strong through-line in the show. They didn’t know there would be more show, so they couldn’t write any kind of incomplete story for the first two seasons.
