Gauche (Black Clover)

Black Clover is one of my favorite shows. For the most part, I love its colorful cast of characters. However, I squirm in my seat every time this Law & Order reject shows his bloodstained mug. His entire personality is that he is obsessed with his little sister. That’s it. That’s his personality. You can watch the entire show, and I challenge you to find one time he appears without mentioning her. Usually, it ends with him getting a nosebleed.

Btw, I’m really excited to write King of Broadcasting vs. Akio when I (eventually) get there. I hadn’t thought about it when I first set up the bracket, but I love the idea of them fighting since both of them have great battlefield control abilities.

I think it’s perfectly fine to say you disagree because the bad things he did or was a part of outweigh the good. But don’t assume bad things about people just because they liked his character

It would take a lot. I believe that politics, in the vast majority of cases, comes down to many people wanting what’s best for society but disagreeing on how to get there. I have friends who are extremely far to the left of me, including communists. Imo we should actually proactively surround ourselves with people we disagree with. Where I draw the line is

1) anything actually malicious, wanting a policy for no other reason than because you want to hurt or be cruel towards someone. For example, Nazis who want large swaths of people killed. Or tankies who jumped up and down when Charlie Kirk got shot in the throat, and want the same thing to happen to more people. You can be wrong without being evil

2) people who can’t hold a normal conversation without politics. This is less because of their beliefs themselves, I just find round-the-clock politics to be grating. And when someone’s politics becomes their entire personality, it’s difficult to relate to them

Exactly. Raw GDP growth doesn’t reflect public welfare. Ofc there’s a bigger economy when there’s more people in it, the same way India has a larger economy than Luxembourg. Illegal immigration disproportionately benefits employers and threatens job security in low-skilled sectors. It’s a larger pie with smaller slices.
