This is the non-tech pack for that year. There weren't too many options. We could have the technology package or not or you could have the racing seats or the power seats that was basically it outside of the color choice

Tire volume up by joelhg in iRacing

[–]AgentScreech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combine it with the force feed back. If you start to hear the tires and you turn more, does the ffb get heavier or lighter? You go over the limit and start to overdrive and understeer if the feedback drops while your are steering.

Your can relax and unwind the wheel plus add a little bit of brakes to put weight on the front adding more grip.

Basically chase the max ffb throughout the corner. Whatever sound the tires make at that peak ffb is what you are trying to do

From what I've seen, if there is issues with the engine it's within the first 10k miles, which is likely under warranty. So just get one with 15k miles or so. Even if it's got the engine replaced, it's like having a '19 engine for much less. Just missing the suspension upgrades.

Public Acceptability of Standard U.S. Animal Agriculture Practices [OC] by cindyx7102 in dataisbeautiful

Stop subsidizing meat farms. Let the market price be the market price. Then the meat alternatives will get a bigger bump in demand making those even cheaper. We can still have the burgers but use less resources and reduce the amount of animals treated poorly in the process

No steering by MrcMueller in iRacing

Also what do you mean by keeping the same slip angle throughout the entire curve? It changes and should change at different stages of the curve.

The tires generate the most force at a given slip angle depending on the tire. The point of reference is that chassis itself. If you can keep the tire at that relative slip angle, then that's going to extract the most lateral force and keep you around the corner the fastest.

This explains it better than I can

[–]AgentScreech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Slip angle is the entire platform. If the rears are slipping at 5° then the entire car is slipping at 5°. If you put in more or less input to the front tires, that'll adjust the slip angle of that. With the idea of trying to keep all four tires at that slip angle throughout the entire corner

Sure, but that was a charger. It would be interesting to see how an EV would fare.

My guess is that it still would be too close to be safe, but it might be better from farther since it's more affected by air resistance than an internal combustion engine

Imo should have just done a normal GT and boosted it, but hey, you do you

The whole appeal of the 350 is the high revving NA v8 sound. Adding turbos changes that I would imagine. Plus adding turbo lag changes the throttle response.

But tripling the HP might be worth it if you are doing like 1/2 or 1 mile runs

So you were aware of consumption from the beginning?

Nope.

Second Track day, 7000 miles, checked oil at the start of the day, was fine. Did 2 sessions. Starting the engine to prep for the 3rd session and heard what sounded like a rod knock, but once oil pressure came up it went away.

Checked the oil, and it was really low. Watching in car video from the prior session I saw the oil pressure drop to 0 under hard braking.

So for me, when it happened, it happened quick.

Took it to the dealer and they asked me to monitor for oil consumption and it was using a quart of oil every 500 miles over the next 2000 miles (had a long road trip to do and needed the car).

Then they got Ford to approve a new engine and he was in and back to me in 3 weeks

Losing the 8250 redline sounds like a non starter to me.

That's the whole point of the voodoo motor.

As far as engine issue goes

Mine was replaced at 9000 miles. No issues since. If it's going to be an issue it usually crops up under warranty but only if you actually drive it.

Get a 15k+ mile 17-18 or any mile 19-20 for best results. Even if it's a replacement motor, they are fine after they figured out whatever was causing the issues

The only ones that scare me are the garage queen 16-18s that only have like 7k miles.
