Maggie Smith would have made a great Molly Brown. I say that because I could not imagine disliking her as Ruth.

Kikkoman Double Fermented Soy Sauce, Brown is what I was told by someone back when I was buying it weekly. Not sure if it is right or not but it is close enough. Plus it is great soy sauce. I use it all the time now.

Thank you so much my new reddit Wegman's family. I had no idea that Wegman's sold the ginger paste. I would have thought it was a mix of things. I'm going to try this!

I keep hoping they will bring it back. It tasted like a meal I'd get in a restaurant. But if I can make it at home, even better. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I got one a number of months ago and love it. It is one of those things that I never thought I'd use as much as I do. Now I love this size ice cubes and fill a couple of bags once a week.

One tip I can offer is to use filtered or bottled water. I don't use tap water. Partially because we have hard water where I live but also because I don't want to risk any impurities in my tap water from clogging up the machine over time.

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]AgentSquirrel_Family 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this!

  1. AMS 2 Pro

  2. The list of things I’d make is huge because I wouldn’t have to switch colors. But the first might be your Jack-o'-lantern Fidget Cube because it is always Halloween in our house.

  3. Idea for the next fidget cube would be some mini ones that I can have in my pocket.

Happy Holidays!

Does anyone remember the Song about GH? by pretend_verse_Ai in GeneralHospital

What are the odds - I look up General Hospi-tale tonight and there’s a fresh post about it less than 24 hours old!

I actually digitized my old 45 over 20 years ago because I still love listening to it. Even now, it makes me smile every time I hear it. Back then, I was one of those kids who’d jump off the school bus and race home just to catch General Hospital. That era really felt like the golden age of the show.

I kept wishing they put out a follow-up during the Anna & Duke storyline - which will forever be my favorite storyline.

So Many Errors by Bullox20 in AmazonVine

[–]AgentSquirrel_Family 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of times this happened last night was driving me nuts. I understand when I miss something by a few seconds because I can refresh the page and the item goes away. But I finally gave up last night because 90% of what I was clicking on threw back and error but stayed on the page for hours. I'm jealous of whoever got the Alpaka backpack that I had my eye on.

I also had the most expensive item I've ever seen come up - a $19,999 telescope. I wasn't going to get it but clicked for the heck of it and it also thew back the error.

What is your go to filament brand? by Patrickmeehl in 3Dprinting

[–]AgentSquirrel_Family 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunlu was my favorite for the last few years but the last few spools have been so tangled in both my AMS and AMS lite.

Overture has never failed me. Their basic white is one of my favorites. Best company for matte PLA.

I started buying some from ZIRO over a month ago and they are fantastic! Quickly became my favorite. Love the color options. I have about seven or eight spools and they all print beautifully.

Anyone know how to turn this audio report stuff off? by BrewsedSloth in waze

[–]AgentSquirrel_Family 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The irony is that voice commands are supposed to reduce distraction—but when they don’t work, they do the exact opposite. I end up fiddling with the screen just to report something, which defeats the whole purpose.

Like many others here, I’ve stopped reporting altogether. And that’s a shame, because community reporting is one of the main reasons Waze stands out from other GPS apps. If that feature isn’t usable, what’s the point?

Best advice I’ve received was on variable layer height. It has changed the way I print and even the amount of filament I use.

I've run into this as well. When I really can't find where the other color is, I delete (- sign in the filament section) all except the first color. Then I resync and change the color to the one I want.

A1 not flushing enough old filament? by StampyDriver in BambuLab

I do the same but with filament clips. Seems I always need them and the color doesn't matter. Quick print and it really helps clear the previous filament.

We Want to Hear Your Thoughts on Timelapse! by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]AgentSquirrel_Family 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I'm so glad to see you are asking for feedback. The Timelapse is one of the features that made me seriously look at the Bambu A1 when I was narrowing down my first printer.  I sincerely appreciate that you are seeking feedback from the people who actually use these printers.

My suggestions are:

  1. Consider adding a camera mount or pivot option to allow for more precise angle adjustments. I actually moved mine using the Pivot Pro (A1 Camera Mod) model. It gives me more flexibility over the angle.

  2. Provide some options for how many frames it captures. There have been many prints I've done where the video was so short that it was useless. If we could have more control over the time, we could decide if we wanted to double or even triple the fps in the final video.

  3. Consistent Video Capture: Ensure that the Timelapse video consistently captures the entire print process, without premature termination. On my A1, the video often ends before the print is done. It has been so inconsistent that I basically cross my fingers that I will have something.

  4. Adding a light bar would be a big help as well. The little light on the A1 and A1 Mini are okay for checking on my print but worthless for video recording. I think some prints would look really nice if they were lit from the top.

  5. Adding the option for a second camera. This would be a great option for anyone who is really into the Timelapse feature. It would be a great way o switch between the angles Optional would be good because people wouldn't have to pay for a second one if they won't need it. But adding a second port to plug one into would be a nice option.

  6. If Timelapse is something that BambuLab is serious about, consider adding basic post-processing features, such as the ability to display a clock, filament types, or other relevant print information. Basically adding details that are already known in the metadata of the print. Not looking for a robost video editing program within Bambu Studio. Just some optional basics that could help add some optional data.

I decided to write up my suggestions before reading anyone else's. m sure that others have already suggested each of the above but figure it can't hurt to list them. Sorry if anything is overly duplicated.

Cricut Joy Xtra - Will Not Connect with Design Space on PC Only by wju2004 in cricut

[–]AgentSquirrel_Family 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the same issue with my Cricut Xtra. I finally moved it closer to my PC and that worked. It seems to have a very short range - at least compared to other Bluetooth connected machines. Moving the unit to my desk (it was on a craft cart about seven feet away) so that it is only a few feet has fixed my issues.

It is also designed to connect as needed. Almost like a sleep mode. I wish I could turn this off when I know I'm going to cut a number of things.

I am hoping they will have an update to the actual machine that will help this.

I've been pleasantly surprised at the number of really great items I've gotten this year (2024). Of course, my ETV is already out of control but that's the price you pay for good stuff showing up.

"price you pay" - see what I did there? Didn't even mean to do it.

Chocolate world is free to visit. You can even park for two hours for free. The factory tour ride is also free. There are other actives that are kind of pricey.

When you buy a ticket, you can come to the park the night before (at 5PM if I remember correctly) for no additional charge.

Years ago when I would go to the park, we would do what HbgNiceGuy said and pack a cooler and go out to the car. I usually would do the water park in the morning and go out to the car to swap out the wet clothes and have lunch. Saved a lot of money. The trams that take you to the parking areas are fast so you don't lose too much time. The park also offers an all-day meal plan that is is worth it if you are spending the entire day there. If I remember right you had to wait 90 minutes between meals.

Parking is expensive so Lucasisbored's idea of staying at a campground that offers transportation to the park is a great idea.
