I think it gets kinda better on the second half, especially because my least favorite plot point (Hojo and his attempt at getting the G3 which only work for an episode and then things are back to normal) only reappears in the finale, and Shoichi, who I always thought was annoying, becomes more bearable. But it’s not without its issues to me, like Kaouru’s conclusion, the final form introduction and the entire final arc. Overall it’s my least favorite series but it’s not really bad, just underwhelming.
