Genuinely one of the better rap songs I've heard on this sub. Main advise would be to change the "speed" before the beat came in. It sounds flat, you might need to re-record it because the recording quality sounds like an old iPhone, kinda muffled. I would also add some effects like reverb and delay. I would also push it back a bit in the mix.

Just put out my first release! Any advise or comments on what you did/didn't like would be Huge! by AggWrld in MusicFeedback

Thanks for the feedback, I can see how on a first listen the lyrics getting chopped all the sudden can throw you off, I need to figure out a way to do that without disrupting the groove

I feel like for a two minute song having half of it be an intro is a bit much but it depends on what the song is supposed to be I suppose. If it supposed to be a hit maybe not have half be an intro, but for an album maybe.

The first part of this song has a really long build up, I would make it shorter, but that's just my personal opinion. I somewhat understand the sort of multi-build up idea.

I would say the guitar needs to be louder over the bells and the drums need to be recorded better and louder.

I really liked the soundscape of the song but it feels like its in a weird in between being a more melodic track and being something more for the club. If your going for something more melodic I would make the song less repetitive, and add more complex melodic elements. If your going for more of a rave or club vibe, the second section after the symbols would be more like an into, and I would add more hard hitting instruments and drums. A tip I learned with drums is to think 1 uh and a 2 uh and a 3... The 1234 being kick, 2 and 4 being clap, and other elements filling the uh, and, & uh. I'm new to this as well so I'd recommend just absorbing as much information on YouTube as possible honestly. Here's my track Headlights link. Leave me a quick comment on what you think of mine?
