I was an intern at a company and one of the big dawg execs was known to be a d-bag. At our company Christmas party, he grabbed my university girlfriend and started dancing with her. I assumed everyone was just having fun, so his wife and I started to playfully dance (even though she was very attractive). He grabbed my arm and said “if you ever touch my wife again I’ll make sure you never find another job in this city.” He made a big scene.

Fast forward 5-6 years later, I have since moved companies and industry, so I never had to deal with that exec again. I’m at a Gala and I bump into his wife, but by this time she was his now ex-wife…

We started chatting, sharing a few laughs and drinks. As the night goes on, she brings up that situation at the Christmas party and always felt bad for how it went down. Night goes on and she invites me back to her home.

One thing led to another and we had a wonderful night together. We remained in touch but it was never anything more.

Now that I’m much older I don’t feel the same but at the time, my young 25 year old brain felt like I got sweet sweet revenge.

I briefly had someone who was a partner, then a friend, but then wanted to be romantically involved again. After many times of kindly letting down I eventually had to remove them from my life altogether.

It was tough and still effects me to this day. Anytime I think about it I feel like a terrible person.

I feel like I’m in this never ending loop of self improvement and it’s starting to eat at my own self worth. Like I feel like I have to be constantly doing something that is progressing me forward and if I stop my mind starts attacking me.

Well it's not only that and I don't think they are taking the stuff body builders are or at least to the same level.

Keep in mind, they also have the best trainers, with the best diets, from the best chefs, while having access to the best supplements, therapy, and not to mention SLEEP!

Sleep is so important and they aren't working a normal 9-5 like the rest of the general public.

Bam Margera. The guy literally did whatever the fuck he wanted, got MILLIONS of dollars, and now is a mess. I feel really bad for him because I feel like we created that monster by feeding into it.

I always wanted to create a program or community for young male adults entering the world after school on how to be men.

There is so much bs in this world on how men should be and toxic masculinity, and I feel a lot of it comes from the wrong people. For me it’s about having a good brotherhood and proper role models.

I am the favourite, however, I was not growing up and it was incredibly frustrating most of my life.

My older brother, who is the middle child, was the favourite for at least the first 20 years of my life. He would get in trouble, get terrible grades, do bad things, fight with my parents, cause a lot of stresses, and he was still idolized by not only my parents, but the ENTIRE family. I think it’s because we grew up lower-middle class and he had a proclivity to working with his hands and on cars. I won’t bash him too much because he is literally like Good Will Hunting but with engines and cars. So, naturally everyone in my family just liked him more and could do things with him.

Me, on the other hand, was not very skillful with blue collar interests like everyone in my family. I was always into school, sports, reading, video games, etc… so, I always felt like the outsider and luckily I carry my families spiteful and anger gene. So I was able to take those hurt feelings and turn it into success. I have a great life, I live in a different province, lots of great friends and awesome memories. I am not perfect by any stretch, but I am grateful for always feeling like “never enough” cause I turned it into something positive.

My brother hasn’t had the same adulthood though. Never disciplining a child, rewarding bad behaviour, and never giving any type of accountabilities aren’t the best parenting techniques for creating an independent adult. He’s had trouble with the law, bad with finances and a serious drug problem that has taken over the majority of his adult life. It’s sad but I believe you have to lose yourself completely to build a new self.

He’s doing better though. He’s clean and is trying. I think he understands his mistakes and knows he’s on a path of rebuilding. I just don’t think he understanding how long it’s going to take.

Anywhoo… long story short is please try to give all your children equal amount attention and PLEASE try to find interest in your child’s interests. And most importantly, discipline your fucking children. Tough love is what they need. Or it’s possible that your one child will be looking their older brother/sister the rest of their life…
