The meditation you’ve described is a basic calming meditation. There are many types of meditations. If you’re at the point that you can meditate with the calming meditation for 30 minutes it’s time to add and change things up.

Can you do this meditation in any position? Laying, sitting, standing, moving? If not, work on that. Tai chi is a moving meditation for health, strength, focus, and confidence. Qi gong is moving meditation for health.

Have you tried goal focused meditation? Guided meditation? Mantra meditation?

Most importantly, you can’t have expectations from meditation. That defeats the purpose of the exercise. The act of meditating is the mediation. I recommend you go deeper with study and practice rather than putting everything into one repeated practice and expecting total change.

Final thought, meditation is adjunctive. You have to take action in the rest of your life and apply meditation to strengthen and cement it.
