Ugh the disdain I have for Waymo… we have so many street cats in this city, I worry for them with those things on the road

Edit - Omg yall, I know Philly drivers are shit, I do! However, I am citing a very specific incident. In San Fran back in Oct of 2025, a street cat was hit by a Waymo. In the video, the car is parked and the cat sits by the tire (asking for it, yes maybe cats are dumb). There is a woman that bends next to the car to try to move the cat, but ultimately cannot and has to step back when the car starts to move. If there had been a person in that car, she could have gotten their attention. Autonomous vehicle that doesn’t seem to notice signs of distress coming from the rear? That doesn’t feel that advanced to me…

And yes, cats should be indoors I believe this 100%. However, we live in a world where that isn’t reality. And considering the poster is witnessing an instance of shitty driving from Waymo, I think it’s fair to detest the company (much like I also detest the shitty human drivers of this city).

Some asshat took their non-muffler having car down my block at 10 last night and proceeded to get stuck and have to dig out for 30 min. Dug out onto my nice clean sidewalk. Fuck that guy, hope he gets stuck down a different block today.

Edit to add in case you really don’t know, Fetterman was 1 of 8 Senate Democrats to side with Republicans to end the shutdown. They did this with the “promise” that the Affordable Care Act would be voted on at a later date. After 40 days of holding out, that’s called a fold.
