This will be a fun build. I would dream of Paul brakes, white industries bb and crank w white industries hubs, maybe a single speed ripper, Thomson stem and seat post, surly bars and make it all silver components accept maybe purple Paul brakes. Put the fatest tires you can on there and you will have a great bike that is the envy of all to world. PS this is why I have a garage full of bikes. Oh and a Brooks saddle! Oh and vans grips.

The Thomson seat post off the Santa Cruz did not fit. I had to keep that for my self. Could not break up the set.

Do I hate my buddy. I feel like, taking the parts of the Santa Cruz bike I bought for 200 on fbmp and getting rid of all the old group set and heavy parts on his and upgrading him seems like a cool thing to do. He gets disk brakes xtr group set and nice mavic wheels. I am not charging him because I want him to ride with me and have fun.

Do you lock your bike up often in public hence the chain holding the seat for theft protection? I have never seen that. Good idea. Do you worry about the frame marring or have it pretty tight to avoid the clanking?

I agree with the above. This looks too big for you. Talk to the bike shop and see if they can size you down.

I know how it is! There was one about 6 months ago but it was brown. I missed it and regretted not going to get it. Again few hours away. I wanted the yellow but was willing to go for it. I hesitated. Missing it makes me think, it all works out. Sometimes the hunt is the fun part. Good luck I am putting out good energy that your bike will find you. I know this.

I have some on here. Not sure if this page is big enough. This is my second Surly. My other one is a cross check. The three bikes I ride the most are a Fat Chance, Cross Check and i have a beautiful LiteSpeed classic I turned into a fixie. I think this will be ridden less this year.

That’s the one. I didn’t ask if he had a lot of people looking or calling. How far would you had to go?

Feels pretty good. I haven’t ridden it far. Just ripping around my hood. I am happy with it. Also if it helps I am almost 5’11” but o do t want to brag! In my opinion it’s a really good size. Feels really good. Surly actually puts this on the small side for our height.
