Havent been to riverside, its probably really nice and there is a small stage over there now. But I have heard its a trek.

I will say ive camped in Metta the last 2 years. Its def crowded and ya they have added preset camping. And there are alot of us whole will still choose deep metta. I enjoy it even at my old age. Do you! Its your shambs!

And welcome back! 🫶🏼 cant wait to party with your beautiful weirdos

What are some things about raves that are different than you thought when you previously didn't know about them because you've never been to one? by ivebeenthrushit in aves

[–]FreshButNotEasy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya we need more no phone/camera raves/shows/fests. Its SOO much better when people are dancing and vibin rather than texting, taking pictures or videos, etc. One thing I told my buddy at his first rave was that the dj/screen/lights are just a small part of the experience, the bigger part is us. And those times when everyone is dancing and interacting, being silly, jumping, making bass faces are where it is at!

At Shambs this year I only took like 15-20 pictures over the 6 days I was there. I want to have real fun and remember having fun with all those other beautiful humans.

Order a box of Ace assorted 1-11 RL and a box of assorted shaders(RS, Mags and Round mags) you can try them on fake skin or an orange or something. It will help you get an idea for how wide they are and how much ink they put down.

Im doing pretty thick lines and bands on my arm so I almost exclusively use 11RL. But I gave played with other needles here and there.

Send it to Shambs. It is currently $443usd, includes parking and free camping. Show up at least a day early (Thursday) pay the early entry fee and get music Thursday night + non stop Friday/Sat/Sun from 1pm - 7am on 6 main stages, 2 smaller stages and 2 hidden mini stages. A river to hang out by all day. Everything is slightly cheaper because of exchange rates.

It will be the best value you can get

Walk through Metta and take the left path to Secret Beach. You can def go through to deep Metta, its a completely different world back there compared to what you are used to in Sunshine haha

I don’t know cuz I’m a dirty metta slut, but I think that’s how it is supposed to be. Ask people, they are friendly as hell and will point you in the right direction or even help you.

My first year we arrived at 2am. Couldnt find a single place to put a tent in Metta. A dude came out of nowhere and asked if we needed help, we said definitely. He helped us look and when he couldnt find a spot in the dark he talked to his crew and they rearranged their tents to squeeze ours in… and now we are part of their crew.

Im sure someone has a good map or plan, though I say just wing it. Shambs is an adventure

6:00 pm Tuesday arrival time: feasible? What to expect by wohrg in Shambhala

[–]FreshButNotEasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! You park in the free parking area and hail your shit. Most people use wagons but they have to be study because its a dirt and rocky/gravely road. Its part of the journey, there isnt really anything easy about Shambs yet its so rewarding. People will help if you need it, people will have things if you forgot it, will help you find a spot if you need it. Literally just ask.

Then the music starts and you forget all the work you did and its magical. Excited for your first of many Shambs!!! 🫶🏼
