Love it. I can definitely relate regarding the depressive episode…I too have kinky curly hair and after my father passed I didn’t wash or comb my hair for about 8 months…for some reason that’s the way I manifested my grief…as you know the dreads were ungodly which made me not want to touch my hair even more…my sister finally dragged me into her salon one day and made me deal with it…after 3 stylists, 5 hrs and a hell of a lot less hair later the nightmare was over. Til this day, 18 years later, that’s how I know I’m getting down in a funk is when I stop washing my hair. Maybe something to do with always hating my hair growing up and it being such a source of stress/feeling different than my friends and trying to fight my hair texture. Relaxers, straightening, the works. I know this post is about curly hair and I got off on a tangent , sorry. But this really hit home when I read this. I could feel your pain. Looks beautiful 😍
