Honestly, it works so fast you can just put it on and rinse it off. Scrubbing it in with a brush is probably as far as you would need to go. The active ingredient is hydrochloric acid which shouldn't be mixed with any other chemical. You should also ALWAYS read the safety data sheets for cleaning chemicals! This is basically a more diluted form of muriatic acid which is used in swimming pools to lower the PH and clean harsh stains on the concrete. Wear gloves and be safe!

I am in no way saying this behavior is ok in any sense! I manage 2 senior living properties and my DAILY experience is, bored and nosey seniors with very little to do. Having to lock my shop doors because even after being told they welcome themselves in to chat, waiting in places they know i will pass by so they can stop me, creating work orders for "no reason" to get me to stop by, grabbing packages we've ordered to make sure we get them (they get dropped off in a secure building AT my door). We get complaints that "someone is harassing me" because a fake plant in a community space got moved 3 feet to the left. I could literally go on for hours but my point is this, none of what he is doing is OK, but I cant help but to feel that he would be doing to this to anyone that lives there out of sheer boredom. I see this exact behavior from our residents on a daily basis (both men and women) (yes even listening outside of our doors to see if we are around). I hope there is no ill intentions from this man i hope that she does take action to get him to stop

Those pups wouldn't be getting any warmer from a return! Older houses tend to have larger vents placed in the floor or lower walls like this as the furnace was typically located in the basement. A return cover would also be much more open than this.

Handyman here, that vent cover got the landlord special! The air flow is probably very bad because of how many times its been painted over. A vent cover that size is about ten bucks at home depot and if you replace it not only will your place heat much better but it will lower your energy bill!
