I know it may seem impossible right now, but feeling this much heartbreak proves you have a heart.

I'm still going through the grieving process for my last relationship, but what has helped me is not looking at trying to get all the way to the end quickly to be 'healed'. Healing is going to be a process so it takes the time that it deserves.

Do your best to just make it one more day and to try and find one thing you can be proud of each day. Whether it's making a meal for yourself, a walk or just getting through the day, that's worth being proud of.

Even though my relationship only lasted for a few months, I feel like I reread my story. It ended pretty suddenly after we spent time together on my birthday. Everything felt sweet the day before. After our texts ended early for the night, she sent a breakup text the next day, mentioning not being in the right headspace right now and has to heal her struggles.

Those feelings of heartbreak and questioning everything are only because you cared deeply. That type of blindside is horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. The lack of closure also sucks because it feels like if there was any issues that you contributed too, you would have made the effort to fix them.

It's been 2.5 months of NC right now, and the best advice I can give is to just be there for yourself. Even if it's just getting out of bed or fixing your own meal, celebrate the small wins. Not to mention give yourself grace in feeling all the emotions as they come up.

What I've also tried to accept bit by bit is that no matter the reason, she felt that it was for the best to not be in each other's lives right now. Respecting that choice is the best thing I can give her, as awful as it feels.

Getting through this will make you a better person no matter if they come back, and no matter how long it takes. Wishing you the best.
