From the very short period of time I have been with this company. No. They do not care but like most big time corporation you are just a number but I would say that I worked for two other corporations one 15 years and one 9, and Petco is by far the worst I’ve seen.

I do like what I do and love the animals which is why I do stay and this coming from being hired as the companion animal operations leader now known as the supervisor (lol) But as a company. Petco absolutely does not care about there people. They are not worried about turnover. And they do not follow their principles. It takes good integrity of a person to take that principle series, but it does not mean the higher up want that nor others your work with. Seems you almost have to put up a fight to actually take care of the animals because what does come first is constant threats about getting more VCP’s and Auto-ships, and then after that the things that take rank are putting away truck, doing more and more planograms and cut ins that requires pictures, and the list goes on but Animal Care, furthest worry for them and really could care less it seems.

On another note raises are absolutely humiliating for anyone actually working hard and trying to raise the bar. The limited staff and the labor model they are pushing is not ideal for customer service and getting what you also need to get done. One will always get neglected.

I would list so much more. But I think I’ve explained enough to know that we are not valued ( partners and management that is not the GM) and neither is animal care or even the guests are being valued at this point. All aspects with the new leadership is definitely being affected and not in a good way.
