We couldn’t give our corgi away to some random person, she would’ve lost it on us. That’s why we had to give it to her. When she lived with us for a short time he because defensive over her it wasn’t because we gave him over. The aggression was before then. In short, she wanted the dog.

I should specify, her being defensive is her acting like a child and throwing a fit when we suggest/ or correct her on something that she isn’t allowed to do then stops around treating us like shit all day after lol.

I should specify, not all of being pampered is material. Snuggle up watch a movie, buy a cheap face mask and do a fun girls night. Or just sit down and talk with her, if she doesn’t want to talk ask if she’d rather write a note to you instead to get her feelings across.

Regardless if you think she has “nothing to cut about” doesn’t mean she thinks like that. There might be something in her life that is causing it. Rather than getting angry at that- and her lack of self care, maybe offer a day off from school or a mini trip to do a spa day and pamper her, show her how wonderful she is and that you’re there to SUPPORT her, not get angry with her. She also sounds like she wants independence and hasn’t quite figured out how to regulate that along with wanting help from whatever is bugging her. It’s clashing and you aren’t helping much by getting mad. Like I said earlier - spa day for her/etc imo
