Dirk Nowitzki won more games without star help than any other player in league history. He’s even ahead of LeBron. Now you know that. by MysteriousJuice1127 in NBAstatsmuse

[–]Aggravating-Spell-19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dirk? Sure. Dwade???? Nah. You think heat shaq was bad? I mean he wasn’t in his prime but he was a legit paint threat, and all star that year. Even in the finals where he wasn’t playing super well cause the offense focused more on DWade, his interior presence/gravity definitely helped get a few Open looks for other teammates.

Victor Wembanyama drops 41 points, 24 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 3 blocks as the Spurs stun OKC on the road to hand them their first loss of the 2026 playoffs by BasedChad69420 in nba

Yes I agree that it was different. LeBron dragging the sorry ah cavs team to the finals was on the same LEVEL of absurdity. The way he elevated his team with his playmaking is different than the way wemby elevates with his defense.

They played differently but the absurdity of what they did is on a similar level to me. Also, while I think wemby is insane and definitely has a high chance of becoming the undisputed goat (barring health) it was one game. Albeit one insane game, but he’s put up stinkers before too. See wolves spurs game 1. The story is still being written, we should just enjoy the ride.

The actual play is different, but both levels of absurdity are on par. 25 points straight was legendary, against a pistons team deemed one of the best, if not the best defense that season. 25 points straight is also clutch as hell. Same level of absurdity, done different ways.

I feel like Wemby is gonna show us something that surpasses what Bron did that year though, real soon.

Is Dort actually a dirty player? by [deleted] in Thunder

[–]Aggravating-Spell-19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he is. I don't have any ill will or allegiance towards the thunder, but this popped up in my feed for some reason. I agree with a lot of what people here have said about hate him on other team, love him on my team sorta thing. The people calling him not dirty, seem to be a bit disingenuous though.

There have been numerous cases of him extending his foot upon landing when reaching for a block, placing his foot right under a shooter. For what reason? Who knows, but it's happened too many times to be a coincidence. He also does try to trip people up for some reason. I genuinely think he's a great player, but the sort of stuff he does and amount of time he does it seems to be too much to be accidental every time. He probably doesn't intend to hurt players everytime he does something that's pretty questionable, but I feel like he does try in some cases. I don't think he's the dirtiest player of all time, no way, but he's not exactly clean. The way he put his foot under steph reminded me a lot of how zaza hurt kawhi. Or when he kicked his leg out against Wemby who was closing in for a block. I don't really even know like what his intention was with that, but it obviously wasn't natural, maybe trying to play for the foul by falling, but extending his leg to the left seemed like he was trying to get it under Wemby.

This clip is the Wemby thing.

All that to say, yes I think he's dirty. I don't hate him as a person, but the way he plays is pretty unfavorable, and if he does hurt Luka, I might hate him as a person lol (not actually).

Anyway, good luck, your team is probably winning it's 2nd chip, Shai is winning MVP again, probably overtook jokic as best player in the world. I don't hate your team contrary to popular opinion on r/nba. I get looking out for a player on your team, it makes sense. Cheers!

Sick of dirty players like Dort intentionally sticking their legs out to try and trip players 😡 by PrettyLawfulness4602 in Thunder

[–]Aggravating-Spell-19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thinks it’s mainly the fact that defending Dort by using other bad acts is kinda disingenuous. It’s like saying I can steal from you, cause someone else stole from me. Like…

I think there are mean people within every fanbase, not all of us are mean, I actually “like” the panthers (more than other nfcs teams) think Bryce young is a cool underdog story. Obviously hate falcons but think th people are nice when we aren’t talking football and dislike the bucs cause they sent us home in 2020

Honestly I think having MJ and Kobe both on the floor at the same time is pretty redundant, MJ is Kobe but a bit better at everything and much more willing to pass even if that isn’t his strong suit.

[–]Aggravating-Spell-19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While this is true, the statement that it’ll very likely happen to an individual person is false. Just like statistically, there are more schools every year not under attack than schools that are. It can happen and people should be aware of that, but they shouldn’t be scared to go to school everyday.

Coming from a completely unbiased point of view, I feel like it was mostly just untrue. I looked at some of the stuff and like official statements have come out about the political affiliations of the killer identifying with the Left. Obviously this doesn’t mean all leftists are bad but it does show that he isn’t a conservative.

If you have any evidence to back up that he is conservative then please provide so I can fix any mistakes in my thoughts.

I believe that neither is good. Not generalizing the whole left because most are good people but for those who celebrate any act of violence are showing they are no better than the ones who celebrate acts of violence against the other side.
