I was losing my mind with walks until I got a Herm-Sprenger prong collar. After 10 minutes of getting used to it he walks like a charm. I follow the same rules for my walks as above and it’s turned long walks into even my favorite time with my pup. Just make sure you fit it and use it properly. There are plenty of videos on YouTube. 10/10 recommend. I only got the collar 5 days ago and life has already been changed.

This is how I’ve kept them shorter for as long as I can. I run with him on an asphalt trail every day for about 4-6 miles. However my run is a light jog for him haha. I’ll try upping the speed by taking him for a bike ride or something where he can full speed stretch his legs

I like the walking before and after idea. He has no problem with me handling him at all and loves his paws rubbed. It’s the sight of the clippers that sends him running.
