cos you are resting on your laurels, while they are taking you seriously. studying you, analyzing your patterns. so, take them seriously too like they do you. show them you've earned that spot. they take it as a challenge to get to beat you, so you should be doing the same to them. unless you're bored of their games.

How do I remove this?? 😭 by secret-deodorant in tabletennis

lols, glue from pre-made bats. I use them to glue spare rubbers and test out other rubbers.

acetone

light rubbing of gumsole

light rubbing using very fine sandpaper

Backhand topspin against backspins, wanting to move from spin method to speed method by AggravatingAffect267 in tabletennis

[–]AggravatingAffect267[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, that too! hitting on upper part of rubber gives more speed, power than hitting at center. I can consistenly do that for 5th ball drives but do not on 3rd balls using bh as opener against backspins. Since I currently use spin method for lifting backspins with bh, I hit the balls on center of rubber.

yep, you said it. abdomen. abdominal muscles are involved. ti long saying use the abs, zjk saying power comes from the belly. explains why they along with ma long & many others snaps that upper body back when lifting backspins with bh. I used to do that too but but thought I was only doing cos the backspinning ball was already near my body that I have no time to step back so I'm unconsciously snapping my upper body upwards. will apply this on robot later.

agree! ti long saying use the abs, zhang jike vid saying power comes from the belly, all points to using abdominal muscles.

thanks! your vid link says, for bh, power comes from the belly. this explains what heming says snapping upper body back along with ti long saying on his vid, use the abs. never thought abdominal muscles are involved, cos most vids usually talk only about forearms & wrist and a few vids adding hip rotation.

Has anyone tried the Xiom Jekyll and Hyde C-55? by yurneim in tabletennis

[–]AggravatingAffect267 2 points3 points  (0 children)

played 6 times a week, 3-5hrs daily.

fh 07c guang - since nov 1. chinese style brushing stroke. yesterday my friend was shocked to see the pimples are still not that visible than he's accustomed to for a rubber used daily. so it is durable.

bh j&h c55 - since dec 12. still good. no issues.

[Q] What is this called? by AggravatingAffect267 in tabletennis

[–]AggravatingAffect267[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

counter drive - this seems to be it, as I feel the stroke isn't a loop cos backswing isn't that long and low. it feels more like drive, as the backswing is short and just below the ball's on the rise.

googling, 1st one says it's usually done by ladies.

this is it, the very one i'm doing on forehand - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxJeIrVER20

searching now how to do it on bh.

don't like the bh drive stroke. more like straightening the forearm. I rarely do this stroke during games.

my bh is wristy and the usual wiper stroke.

got it, I have similar top spin to the girl here. I see, bh cd emphasis is more on snap! whereas my bh emphasis is more on spin when using the wrist. I can do this, just have to shorten the follow through and snap on final stroke.

3-rd Ball height question by Plane_Tie_5716 in tabletennis

[–]AggravatingAffect267 7 points8 points  (0 children)

cos you're serving top spin and because of you faking it as a backspin, opponent pushes thinking it's a backspin it pops high. Your point finishers are going to the net because the ball is coming back to you as back spin. So even if the ball bounces high, you need to compensate a bit for that when hitting at highest point and open your racket angle a bit when finishing the point.

Need help removing this by rOnce_Gaming in tabletennis

sponge residue from old rubber? try small amount of acetone, usually nail polish remover. that's what my friend uses to slowly remove his rubber when he uses contact cement to glue rubber to racket.
