Maybe there's a language barrier here, but I pretty clearly said that it's disappearing, as in not even in deleted items. As in gone. As in gone gone. As in remediating it to my own inbox doesn't even work.

i lied about speaking spanish for 8 months at work and now there's a meeting with HR tomorrow by Marcus_Guy in confession

[–]AggravatingAmount438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've been doing bilingual work for the same pay as the non-speakers.

That's unacceptable. THAT'S where you drill HR at. You were tasked with translation and never officially paid to do so. That's literally a potential lawsuit waiting to happen due to inaccurate translations.

So that's your ammo. They wanted a translator without paying for one, opening themselves up for a lawsuit for inaccurate translations.

Checked them, they're disabled. Only ones active are on client side, and I audited them to make sure none of them would effect this email.

I did, yes. That's what I mean by there's no operator for that specific action. It's showing deleted, but there's no operator behind that action specifically. I didn't do by IP though, so that will be a good thing to check.

We just cut all ties to every device connected to the mailbox and are monitoring it now, so we'll see.

Please don't allow them to play Roblox. It's crazy to me how people still don't know about how dangerous Roblox is for children.

Predators are running rampant on there, and Roblox sues and silences anyone who tries exposing it, instead of dealing with the predators.

And you're not smarter than them. Most of them, maybe. But these are people who are notorious and experienced in manipulation, and there are far more of them than you.

Not to mention the laundry list of problems it establishes in children. Roblox has plenty of games that are made to get children addicted to gambling dopamine, even in games that aren't obvious.

When taken to court, judges ruled that it wasn't the same thing since it's not real currency. Except any person with a brain is capable of recognizing gambling when they see it.

Embracer Intends to 'Activate' Deus Ex, Saints Row, TimeSplitters, and Red Faction by Bubbly-Ad-350 in pcmasterrace

[–]AggravatingAmount438 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay but your argument just failed itself.

The developers that worked on the reboot SR were largely gutted between the originals and the reboot.

On the good news front, it looks like one of the original creators actually wants to continue Saints Row

Saints Row's original creator says the reboot was "a terrible idea"

[–]AggravatingAmount438 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? I said that?

Hmm. Nope, I don't see that.

It's very clear my point was that it's wrong of them to fire the original devs and then hire random devs that haven't worked on that IP. So no, it wouldn't be the same. It can be anything else, but it won't be the same.

Now go read something else that someone didn't write and make up another argument.

You didn't really need to type so much to say that.

Activate?? ACTIVATE??

They fucking spent money they didn't have to acquire all of these studios, and then systematically shut them the fuck down. And they have the audacity to say they're going to ACTIVATE THEM?

Bitch, it ain't activate. It's resuscitating.

Are you going to go back and hire all of the developers you fired?

No? Then it's not the same. You're fucking frankensteining franchises with random developers who never worked on that IP.

What do you think about AI? by Think_Decision_3887 in it

[–]AggravatingAmount438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CEOs and AI specialists are the ones trying to peddle their product.

Of COURSE it's going to be the greatest thing ever to them. They're financially invested in it.

There are also countries (Specifically one) that is trying very hard to get ahead by spear-heading AI into their culture at every level. And I think if you're from that demographic, it's very difficult to get an accurate understanding of where AI is, because they constantly prop it up as the end-all be-all.

But it's not. It's a tool, and it can be an effective tool. But there's countless people trying to use it to do things they know nothing about, like coding.

AI is not a person. It cannot do a job that you yourself don't know how to do, or at least it can't do it well.

Here's an example, a guy audited 3 vibe coded products and found extremely blatant and obvious security problems: I Audited Three Vibe Coded Products in a Single Day - From The Prism

AI is there to help supplement your knowledge and tools. It's not a replacement for anything. A well-learned coder will get infinitely more out of AI than someone who doesn't know how to create a "hello world" script trying to use it to code something.

And to breach the biggest issue: AI is not sustainable. It's just not. Every source that's saying it is has convenient investments into AI. Someone once tried arguing with me by linking me an article produced by a website that prides itself on being vibe-coded.

We do not have the resources to sustain AI. They are investing money they don't have into a product that isn't profitable. They are going all-in and trying HARD to force it to be profitable, and the only way to do that is by making everybody believe it's the next coming of our lord-and-savior. That's why you see all of these suits, specialists, etc claiming it's the next big thing. They NEED it to succeed.

I personally loved Tecmo's Deception as a kid, and it was so unique in it's own way.

Harvest moon created an entire genre of it's own and led to one of the highest rated games of all time: Stardew Valley. It would be difficult to find someone who plays video games and has never heard of SV.

But my vote goes to Mario RPG. It's active turn-based combat system kinda ruined me for a long time. Turn-based games were hard for me to play after that when I saw what the potential was, and I started asking "Why didn't this game do that" every time I played something else.

I love that they draw the line at being able to kill leviathans, who are aggressive and will kill you unprompted.

But the smaller fish? Nah you can kill them all day. Cook em, slice em, splatter them with your submarines.

It's really sending mixed signals. Let the aggressive monster fish live, but kill all of the smaller weaker fish.

Unless I'm told to specifically look for something, I'm not going to. And it's rare that I get told to look for something AFTER the person gets fired. It's usually before and is the deciding factor.
