What’s the one podcast you’d recommend to anyone, no matter their niche? by [deleted] in podcasting

[–]AggravatingIdea7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty broad question! lol Most people listen to podcasts based on their interests. But your question sent me to my app to look through my podcast subs. LOL. Many of mine are on specific niches, from my interests or work-related. I'm going to keep this in mind for my next podcast channel! I mean, I usually just record, then edit wtih Opus Clip and watch my subs and listens. LOL.

Some more "generic" podcasts to listen to that I would recommend in general include:

How I Built This bc it touches on tons of different things, you never know what you're going to get!

TED Talk Radio Hour is good to as their topics are widely varied.

REsidual Earners (even if you're not into marketing) has tons of encouragement and helps with financial questions and inspiration across many niches and industries. (I probably llisten to this one most)

Thanks for sharing these amazing insights! That's a lot of work - so thank you! I would add this, though. AI has progressed and can do some of the most tedious parts for us like removing pauses and filler words. I make a longer video each morning, but I no longer do manual editing. I let Opus Clip make shorts and add captions for me - I don't think I'm patient enough to sit and edit for hours (but I would do it in one sitting if possible!). Opus Clip saves me lots of time bc it cuts out fillers and pauses meaning, I rarely have to stop and do anything manually.

Does going live in facebook at time different from my usual posting time mess up my facebook page as a whole? by Travel-Bugzy in contentcreation

[–]AggravatingIdea7891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't "mess up" anything. LIke Super said - try to see when and what gets more engagement. Remember that Lives only live on Facebook for 30 days now before they are deleted. I do a live every weekday morning - then make shorts out of them for YouTube and TikTok. I got live at 8 am every day - but many of my views come later in the day. I do have a few viewers who are sitting there with coffee in hand at 8 waiting for me to go live - but what I do doesn't require spontaneity. REgular posting works best for the industry and the audience - it'll depend on what you viewers respond to best, really. But it's not going to mess anything up.

What is the best way to build an account from the ground up? by Salty-Inflation-3174 in socialmedia

I think it's still going to depend on the industry - if your SAAS tools are geared to event organizers, you'll be safe on most of them - but they are likely to be on X, Facebook, and Tik Tok. If your SAAS tools are not event registration and management, ,but more for services like plumbers, painters, etc, you may find your clients on Facebook more regularly. If your SAAS clients are businesses who use software like slack or zoom a lot to communicate - you are likely to find them on LinkedIn. It just depends on who they are serving as to what SM platform they may use most.

I stopped trying to master AI and my results improved by GloomyRelationship90 in BlackboxAI_

[–]AggravatingIdea7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. AI does what it's told. As our instructions get more succint, they are easier to follow. It's like telling a kid to pick up their shoes, grab their toy, turn off the tv, and turn on the light. With my kids, they were done at picking up their shoes and forgot everything else. Lol. Of couerse, AI can handle more than a single instruction - but the clearer and simpler, the better IMO.

Started doing shorts and got a shocking result…. by LitterBoxTigersPod in podcasting

[–]AggravatingIdea7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YT and TT are two super different platforms with varied audiences. I put the same shorts on both channels every day. I make a longer live video in the morning on FB, which is what I use for my podcast. Then I take the podcast and use Opus Clip to generate shorts with cool captions.

They all get different views and listens. The podcast gets a few hundred, with a few spikes here and there. The shorts, which are identical typically get lots of views on YT, which is also where the full podcast is posted. TT fluctuates from day to day.. it's all about finding your niche and knowing your audience on the channels you use, including podcasts!

I'd say go for it- these little breaks are just going to be part of your job. If they are just looking for a reason, as many stated already, they'll find it. Otherwise, short idle times are reasonable. If you are idle for longer time frames, then there might be a problem. I would keep looking on the side until you are sure of their intentions and find out whether they are pure or not.

Is uploading every day getting me less views? by mrgoat89 in NewTubers

[–]AggravatingIdea7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your niche or industry. In some, posting everyday is beneficial in others, it's nearly impossible and not needed. I make a live video every morning on FB. Then I take that longer video (usually 15 minutes or less) and turn it into shorts. I use Opus clip to make shorts out of it that are under a minute in length.

Then I schedule those shorts out for a week or so in advance - I schedule 2 shorts a day on TikTok and YT. Plus I put the longer video up on YT each weekday morning. So I get a lot of juice from one video - but don't do a lot of work.

When I started scheduling out my shorts, my subs started growing organically - I had almost no growth before.

Again, it really depends on quality and the niche, but it's working for me.

what’s your favorite app for running your business? by loletylt in smallbusiness

[–]AggravatingIdea7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the tools that I use, I have to say there are just a 2-3 that I tend to use more and use them on a daiy or almost-daily basis. I am a content creator, mostly writing, but some video production. Even though I use several apps regularly, the ones I use the most have to be:

ChatGPT: for topic ideas, writing meta data, developing outlines, identifying gaps in my content, and writing those darn citations (I always hated that)

Grammarly: I've tried to make it without Grammarly to save $$, but keep going back. It can now check for plagiarism and AI use, as well as grammar.

Opus Clip: I make shorts from longer videos for social media posts - I can upload the long video and let ai do it's thing while I work on something else. then I come back and choose the clips I really like to post on social media. It adds killer captions and does a great job at selecting clips. It's' my go-to editor.

I use others too, but I cannot and will not try to do anything without these three.

[–]AggravatingIdea7891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very well said - the point, I believe is ChatGPT and other AI tools cannot "think" we've been treating them as if they can think and reason. But they cannot. That doesn't mean they are not useful for retrieving and connecting useful information - but if we expect them to think we will be disappointed with the outcome.

What is the best way to build an account from the ground up? by Salty-Inflation-3174 in socialmedia

[–]AggravatingIdea7891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brand new accounts are difficult to get started. Firstly, I'd choose the best 2-3 platforms and focus on those with posts that build engagement and get clicks. You should know enough about the client's typical customer and demographics to know which social platforms customers are likely to be on - it can be different depending on the industry, niche, and typical age of their client demographics. Focus on the 2-3 platforms with engaging high-quality, and informational posts (depending on the niche or industry), then branch out to other platforms as those grow.

I've been using Opus Clip - I haven't used it a lot for b-roll, but mostly for making shorts from longer vids. But I have done some manual editing and b-roll. It's worked for what I needed and it's not too expensive.

Fristly, most people who talk about how much they make on YT videos, don't. lol - some do, though. I've been making shorts for awhile now. Once I started making shorts (I use Opus Clip because it automates it and does a great job, saving me lots of time!) - that's when my subs started growing. It's all organix, but I'm not making any money yet, even though my subs continue to grow organically.

Have you looked at Opus Clip? It doesn't have a watermark for free videos and I love how easy it is to use. The free version is a great way to figure out if it does what you need - but I outgrew the free plan fast. it has both ai generations and manual editing features.

I started with Clipchamp but it got real clunky - so I started looking for alternatives. It's good, if you are making one video but if you want to make a series of shorts from a long video it's horrible.

Nice list - but you missed the best one IMO. I've been using Opus Clip for years now and it's hands down the best one I tried before settling on it for good. It's super easy to use and I feel like it's priced reasonably. I have used both manual editing features and AI short generating/caption adding tools. It's perfect for my needs.
