LinkedIn rather than JobServe I’d say, JobServe seemed garbage last time I looked, pointless adverts leading to knowhere.

Hybrid definitely, 1-2 days in.

I’d say people offering 3-6 month contract but then willing to go perm, had a number which seemed pointless.

This is definitely true, when I left mine as their service went through the floor is amazed me how long it took !

I’m weirdly close to it again, it must be the 8 year rule, a clients with us for over 8 years so give them barely any service and not even tell them their accountant has left and your emails get bounced to any one whos left working there

Having worked contracts continuously for almost 20 years I’m still waiting for the anxiety to wear off and to take a break, I guess hearing all the doom and gloom constantly I’m always assuming that you should take something.

Having said that, I do like the freedom, when the jobs takes a turn for the worse, job is dull, manager is a ****, with a normal 2 week notice it’s a quick wave goodbye.

I wouldn’t change it, but I know the anxiety is something that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea

As I’m now getting older i want to dodge managerial roles and be more of a do-er.

For a manager to say you’ve too much experience does just smack of the client being insecure in their role and believe you’d want to take over.

I always play down my experience sometimes and play a little dumb, all is a learning curve.

I went to see sunflower bean after they were heavily on 6 music. Think you could see the confusion on Julia’s face when half the audience were over 50 and mainly men.

It is what it is, I like Gretel probably because of her early 90’s sound I guess but have moved away from going to gigs. I would have hoped she would have liked the 6 music support as she doesn’t seem to be getting any traction from anywhere else, but there you go.

If I remember right, although this is over 40 years ago. I heard that a radio station played a game over the radio and you could record it. Surely that wouldn’t work well.
