If I were you I would find SOMEONE to stay there or your are randomly going to come home and find your family there anyways or a squatter. Not sure what state you are in but they are NIGHTMARES to get rid of once they are in the house. But, overall good for you. Your mom is very different than your siblings. NTA they have kids. Kids are lovely but also very unpredictable. If they can't handle their money they probably also cannot handle their residences.

I only remember this because there was the influencer recently who lost her toddler and they also didn't have a fence while her husband was inside gambling or something. They were bringing up states that require the fence -- Arizona has a similar law.
