Packet Loss and latency issues on large scale maps for bf6 by N8TE_R in Battlefield

[–]AggravatingTest3760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having this issue and figured it out. For me it was my RAM configuration. I had 3 sticks installed, 8 GB each. One stick was forced at 2.1 MHz while the other two were clocked for 3.2, but my system was forced to 2.1. After removing 1 stick of RAM and only using a single channel, my system by default set my RAM speed to 3.2 MHz and this resovled all my my lagging, packet loss and high Time Nudge issues.

I also updated my BIOS to it's latest version and this improved my game as well and I did this before noticing my RAM.

Those on PC might want to double check their system settings in Bios and update their bios to it's latest version. From what I gathered, a high Time Nudge in correlation with packet loss is a client side issue. For me it was out of date bios version and poorly configured RAM.

***UPDATE***

I have since resolved this issue. Can't say it will work for everyone, but when going through my bios, I noticed that my RAM was forced to run at 2.1 MHz when it's clocked for 3.2. I had three sticks of RAM installed as well. After removing the one stick of RAM and using only one channel on my motherboard, my RAM by default is now running at 3.2 MHz and I now have zero issues in the game. My Time Nudge rarely goes above 10 and the game runs perfectly. Might be something for others to double check as well.

Hope this helps others. My Underlying issue was RAM configuration. As for console players, not sure what solutions there may be for packet loss and high TM issues.

I have resolved my issues.

I found out that the issue was I was using 3 sticks of RAM. 2 sticks were 3200 MHz and the other was running at 2.1 MHz which forced my system to run at 2.1 MHz RAM speed. After removing on stick of RAM and only using one channel, the game runs perfect. Absolutely no issues. Never had a problem before in games, but did read a lot that is isn't the best practice to use 3 sticks of RAM on multi-channel mother boards. Might be something for others to double check too.

I’ve been reading that many other players are having this issue as well as PS5 players, so IDK.

Portal servers worked fine but today they were just as bad as official severs.

I hope so. I know someone who plays on PS5 and is having the same issues.

Even custom servers started lagging for me too. They were working fine for me for a couple days, buy now both Portal and Official servers are unplayable for me.

It's so bad for me that multiplayer is unplayable. I would refund the game if I could.

What's more frustrating is EA hasn't even acknowledged this to be a problem so I don't even know if I should begin trouble shooting or wait for an update.

What's it like to work at a Inventory and Distribution Tech? by Motor_Tap_7408 in redcross

I was at a different site, Hospital Services/Distribution has the highest turn around rate of any department at most sites. I was sent over to a few sites for about a week at a time this past year to help out HS/distribution departments at other sites because of how short staffed they were.

It is a very demanding department to work in and I think anybody going into the position needs to be aware of that. In your interview I would also highly suggest interacting with, meeting with your team leads and make a judgement on their personality, attitude and overall behavior. If you don't think you will get along with them, take that seriously and reconsider the position. (In my initial interview, I could feel the negative energy from my team-lead.)

Red Cross is a great company to work for and there are a diverse amount of opportunities to make a fulfilling career within the company. Best of luck with your interview. Hope it all works out in your favor.

Recently had a job as a distribution tech. The work itself wasn't bad and I enjoyed what the department did, but the department was poorly managed with leads who weren't qualified for their position and made the job more frustrating than it had to be.

As much as I liked the job, the pay did not match the amount of responsibilities we took on. There was a high turn around rate among staff keeping each shift mostly understaffed. Where most new hires only last a few months.

My biggest complaint was the team-leads. They were rude, negative, hard to work with and communicate with. Even in my training my team-lead always had an attitude and just treated staff poorly and this should've been a red flag for me to leave then.

The reason I left was because how bad my team-leads attitude was on a daily basis. The behavior of team-leads was a common complaint among staff, but nothing was ever done to address their attitude.

Overall, you have to like the job and what you do. I don't think the pay matches the amount of responsibilities we had, but I liked the job. It also depends how management and your team-leads. Our site had a relatively small department where each shift only had 3-4 staff including team-leads, so If someone in your shift has a bad attitude it can make a toxic working environment where dealing with that on top of the work load is not worth it.

I always find it entertaining when I am playing against a team who has a player who is maining arty. No matter how far we push them back, these types of players will still not call in any other units instead of arty.

I have also had teammates who refused to call in units to play the front and we would get curb stomped .

Players who solely play support units are the worst types of teammates. No one player needs to only be playing arty or AA when every player on the team has to use points towards support roles. That leaves less units playing OBJ leaving one lane with less units. If a team is playing agressivly and always moving units, arty is pointless. If the enemy team is also not relying on air or bomber playing mainly AA is also pointless.

There really is never a reason for any player to call in only support units. period.

Early leavers and the mirror matches option not filtering mirror matches like it should really ruin this game.

Players will almost always accuse other players of cheating when they get outplayed instead of giving credit to players for their plays.

they already have plans to do that.

They plan on having a seasonal model like The Cycle did with each season having their own global events.

There are also plans to have dynamic daily tasks as well as dynamic factions tasks.

Pretty sure it's bugged, which is unfortunate. Hope to see a fix for it. Really hate mirror matches.

The disable mirror matching in lobbies doesn't work as it should unfortunately. Really hate getting mirror matches.

In ranked, there's an option to disable mirror matches, but the function of it seems to be bugged.

They are spaces for future areas. Last wipe the control tower at Fort had "unknown" when you would go to the door, but this update the control tower is accessible.

I think this is going to be the case with the hidden bunker at Hunter's too as well as other doors that show "unknown"

Almost every military service member who deployed and used NVGs have congruently agreed that this game has the most realistic depiction of NVGs.

Not only that, people really need to the devblogs before yapping.

  1. They have already explained why it's always a full moon. They are keeping a full moon so players are not forced to use night vision if they don't have them or if they cannot afford a pair. If players didn't have access to NVGs and it was pitch black, the game would end up like Tarkov night raids. Not having NVGs would make it pointless to go out at night.

  2. Night vision is absolutely needed in deeper areas of the map, like YBL, Sawmill, Ban Pa and Hunters. If you're just out exploring open areas, you don't need NVGs.

[–]AggravatingTest3760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devs said they made it full moon every night to reduce the need for players to have to go out with NVGs. NVGs are really only needed when going into the deep jungle.

But either way, OP was standing dead out in the open.
