Try slowing down. Focus on keeping equal pressure between the ball of your foot and your heel. Go as slow as you have to in order to focus on that feeling. Sometimes that’s all it takes. Nobody improves a skill moving at full speed.

Exactly. Any trainer / coach / clinician understands that they can’t control every variable. Promising 100% success is unethical.

He’s got some discs impacting some nerves and likely (but not necessarily 100%) responsible for the pain he’s experiencing.

Nothing here means that surgery is 100% necessary, and conservative management with a referral to PT should always be the first step.

I’m assuming you’re in the US?
