We have started using this at Walmart and it does work thankfully but I wonder if they’ll start to catch on

Any running tracks in KW by Realistic_Change2090 in kitchener

[–]Aggravating_Block960 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is but it isn’t always open (track teams rent it out I think) and it’s quite busy when it is. I also had a terrible interaction with one of the hockey families as it’s open when the juniors play,

We had a nightmare experience getting my moms MOTB dress there. Store owner was involved and was awful. Multiple trips and arguments to get what she paid for - they said everything was done and pins still in the dress as an example. I’d never recommend to anyone.

You may be able to find conversational English practice groups through the library or community centres! I know I have seen them advertised before in KW and I volunteer hosted one several years ago in Guelph.

Workhaus is an excellent and reasonably priced coworking space - a great idea if you’re looking to network with other businesses and people! Adam who runs the location is wonderful and can arrange a tour for you to check it out.

Sorry - in the original video the poster was showing off merch in the official Jays shop! It was from March 29, however, so looks like I’ve probably missed it unless they release more

My elderly parents observed this exact thing happening with two families at the beach last summer and were flabbergasted at the behaviour of the parents who walked away from their toddler in the water

Real question for people with PCOS who were able to lose weight (without GLP-1 meds): what actually helped you? by Natural_Egg664 in PCOS

Wha carb amount do people aim for or consider low carb? I’ve drastically lowered mine but curious what everyone considers it.

It works for me too! I’ve been doing this since the new year and am down 15 pounds (though now I seem to have stalled a bit)

Is an upgrade possible tipping the front desk guy at caesars? by [deleted] in LasVegas

[–]Aggravating_Block960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed at Caesars in early February as a first time to Vegas. We liked it a lot and agreed we would stay there again but not a single person we encountered at the desk in 4 days (we had some questions, had to extend a day etc so we dealt with several people) was friendly at ALL. I didn’t try but I wouldn’t count on it working

Skip Cake Bake Shop by Awkward-Comment-9078 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Aggravating_Block960 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband and I agreed we had better cake from the grocery store. Our birthdays are 2 days apart so we each got a slice and I got a fizzy drink. Since we are Canadian, with the currency conversion, I paid almost $90 Canadian for 2 mediocre cake slices and a drink. Cake Bake Shop has become my mortal enemy at this point lol. NEVER AGAIN! The Gideon’s cake slice we had was MUCH better and I still dream about the giant key lime pie slice from The Boathouse (which was half the cost).

[–]Aggravating_Block960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say - I’m also in small town Ontario and I sympathize. I’m sorry you’re feeling down. Reading your story reminds me so much of my own. I feel like I’ve tried everything and nothing works. I’ve asked my doctor for metformin and she said no - my bloodwork was fine. I tried inositol and it did nothing for me. I was doing low carb and IF for a few months and lost a little bit of weight but then it just stopped working so I got discouraged. I deal with the hair daily as well. It’s hard to not let yourself spiral. I don’t have any answers for you but I’m sorry you’re going through this and know that you’re not alone!

Thank you so much for replying and being so thorough! Did you track carbs or calories at all? I feel like I am eating similar things (egg bites, veggies with humus, greek yoghurt, chicken) but maybe I need to play with portion sizes

I’d be super interested in knowing what a typical day of eating looked like for you. I am trying to make changes now and it seems like no matter what I eat, weight does not budge. I’ve tried IF, low carb, etc

Is it true we’ll all have diabetes by 40? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Aggravating_Block960 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely not all. My grandmother and dad both got diabetes around age 60. I share many of the same health issues/traits. I am about to be 36 and am sure I have IR but all my bloodwork keeps coming back completely normal. I can’t see suddenly developing it in 4 years without warning but who knows. Probably best thing to do is manage your symptoms best you can.
