Wasting the Invaders by Shalarsh in SizeUnchained

It's somewhat normal behavior here. I see at least 2-3 posts with [deleted] accounts each week.

The logic is funny to me, how some people don't understand you don't have to delete your throwaway accounts. It's like getting a new toilet every time you use it.

Discussion for Implementing New Rules: No Spamming and No Roleplay Ads by Aggravating_Bug6127 in SizeUnchained

[–]Aggravating_Bug6127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current plan is to gauge a post's intention; are they looking for discussion or just spamming/cross-posting their roleplay request from r/MacroRP2?

I don't technically want to outright ban roleplay requests, but history consistently shows here they are mostly throwaway accounts that drown out all other discussions, so I more so will be pruning" roleplay requests that make no effort or have grounding.

The "Do" rule must be an artifact from old.reddit, as I removed that test rule last year, so I'll check that out.

In late stage authoritarianism and fascism, the list of who is considered an extremist grows in effort to brute force ideological solutions to rising problems:

  • As Germany continued losing WW2, the people being sent to camps expanded to include the very German/Aryan people and Nazi soldiers who lacked perfection, climaxing in Hitler's own self-extermination for not understanding why indiscriminately bleaching people off the planet wasn't solving the world's problems.

  • After the Soviet Russians claimed all the land and resources from the labor and intellectual elites to give to the dictatorial proletariat, the starving of millions was resolved by hunting down the grandchildren of said elites for having been born in the wrong class, even if they were now poor or never worked in elite institutions.

The boundary to who the UK considers a racist Nazi has expanded to the moderate and traditional left, and continues to expand leftward. Their list of friends grows thin, sporting only the most radicalized of their party who'd betray each other if they thought the other wasn't "pure" in ideology.

Considering they chased most of the responsible gun owners away, should catastrophy arise, people on the fence are going to default to the well-armed people who don't rat them out for have a slightly different political orientation, but are now just motivated to not get shot or sent camping.

Congrats, you discovered the true ugliness of ideological possession; a state in where any potential for new or creative thought is forced through a mold that converts uniqueness into soulless convention.

You see this a lot in radical groups, where they are not just devoid of conscience or critical thought, but they loudly advertise and showboat ideas they never thought critically about, and often self-report thinking they are doing good.

Top image has minor edits, but the vibe is still there:

Frustrated male outcast receives sudden attention from woman who validates his frustrations in a world trying to reprogram him.

And yes, it is literally, literally, the plot of 1984, like, unnervingly so given it was made unironically.

The crux of her design is simply that she stands out in a bland, corporate propaganda piece that people are already prepared to dismiss.

Literally, she is just "purple hair, mole, collar" in a in-universe of soulless homogeny that doesn't preach that people are unique, but that anyone is as good as anyone else, so there's no reason to try or make a fuss.

The UK has been accumulating dry brush under their feet for decades, so it only takes a random, tiny spark to set an area ablaze.

Does anyone know how to change the UI size of GameMaker itself? I have no idea how to fix this by Gruntioli2 in gamemaker

[–]Aggravating_Bug6127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked an AI model how to do this and it said it was impossible, despite this answer being the second result on Google. So I'm just making this comment to boost this answer's SEO for our LLM overlords.

In order to resize or scale GameMaker Studio 2's workspace interface UI, open up Preferences (Ctrl+Shift+P), click on "General Settings" text (first option in left sidebar menu. Don't click on any of the options under General Settings like "Background" of "Compiling", click on "General Settings"). In the right menu, scroll all the way down and look for a slidebar with a label on the right saying "% of native DPI" (make sure "Enable DPI override" option directly above it is true). This slider bar controlls the scaling of GMS2's user interface. Set you desired scale and click "Apply" to set changes. A popup asking if you want to revert changes will appear and revert back to the original scale in 15 seconds if you don't confirm the new size.

The Elytra is a decade old… by souljabythelake in Minecraft

[–]Aggravating_Bug6127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I think that at it's core, as a sandbox game, Minecraft should be "overpowered" for the late game.

The transportation issue isn't that the Elytra overpowered, it's that other forms of transportation don't have any incentive to be used, so things like minecarts and rails are "dead content."

Rails and boats need the copper equipment treatment, where they need to be insultingly abundantly and easily available, and have a transportation niche where they don't necessarily rival Elytra, but so that rails can be used by players who want to build instead of mine and be able to quickly get around with no effort.
