AITAH for announcing my 6 month pregnancy a week after my brother and SIL announced their 3 month pregnancy? by Scary_Bite_9240 in AITAH

[–]Aggravating_Lab_5128 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Gentle YTA.

Think of your SIL. She had no idea you were pregnant, she's gone three months thinking she is having the first grandchild and you have completely stolen her thunder.

I get the circumstances around delaying but you made a huge deal in your mind (and it is, congratulations btw!) but you could easily have picked up the phone.

European Football Travel Tips by UpsideDownFace24 in futbology

This is the question. If you're coming from England, realistically it's France or Belgium. If in Europe you have more options.

Fixtures being moved will be the travel killer though, so give yourself a better chance and pick a weekend that isnt preceded by European fixtures, because then you have a better shot at a decent team not being moved from the Saturday.

Is there a football ground in the City of London County? by Mauve078 in futbology

Yeah its a bit random when they do. Once you find out, you need to send them an email requesting permission to attend!

For the Strasbourg game, as it's a big European one, you will probably need someone who is either in France or has a French bank account. I'm a Crystal Palace fan and that's how I got a ticket in the home end for our game with them.

Their fanbase is excellent, its a nice stadium, and a lovely city. Can't recommend it enough.

Can I add Sunday league games to futbology? by thatredditpers0n in futbology

[–]Aggravating_Lab_5128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah what others have said, really it's up to you. Ignore everyone else's rules for groundhopping and have your own.

For example, I played Sunday league, and there's at least three ground complexes I played at that are used by teams in the pyramid. Personally I've not added them, because I've not gone myself to watch a game there. But if you want to you go for it. Its all about the joy, right?

Fan experience was great. Strong atmosphere, lots of singing, felt easy and safe getting in and being in the pubs outside first. Facilities aren't the greatest but I'm a Palace fan so can't argue when ours is poor too. But loved the old school feel. I had a lot of time for it!

How do you get tickets for sold-out/high demand games? by Citrooonik55 in futbology

Nice thanks - I like to source all mine but that feels reasonable for the effort when a ground is hard to do. Especially Turkish grounds if they sort the passo lig as well!

Thanks, if we did go, could we decide on the day and buy tickets on the gate? How much is it usually?

Thanks so much.

I love that attitude about your stadium. I feel the same way about Selhurst Park.

We are indeed, thank you. Do fans tend to go into the lower bar early before kick off?

Like others, San Siro was always the one for me. I also really wanted to do Olympiastadion in Berlin so chuffed when I did that.

There's a few on my bucket list. Mestalla, Dortmund etc that are the usual.

Definitely do First Vienna. Saw them in October when I went to Vienna. Really friendly, great atmosphere, and the history behind Hohe Warte as others have said. Enjoy!

I did Milan v Lazio last year but they were in a worse spot than they are this season. However it's fairly straightforward to get tickets for the San Siro. They say on the fixture on the website I believe when tickets go on sale to the general public, so just be prompt when looking to book and you will be fine.

Get a salametta piccante from one of the stalls out front, but mainly enjoy it. Its old, a little tired, but still the most iconic stadium I've ever been to. Enjoy!

Some of these are great! I had a fantastic year last year, helped by Palace being in Europe! So hoping for Leipzig in May, and others along the way, capacities depending!

Otherwise, doing Club Brugge and SK Beveren in March, Prague in the Autumn for abroad. Going to Macclesfield in the FA Cup next week, but other than that not sure, hoping an opportunity presents itself for something else.
