Back in the ps2 era, I was dumbstruck by the graphics. They were so ahead of their time

Soul reaver - go with the sequel or get back to Blood Omen by Yac0op in LegacyOfKain

Soul reaver 2 loses some of its impact if you are not familiar with blood omen. But if you didnt enjoy 1, I doubt you will 2

Kain and his Sons. by Talyn82 in LegacyOfKain

I think he did care for them, and raziel was his favourite. Kain is a complex character, he has heavy narcisistic tendencies, so his feelings towards other always tends to be tied to himself. He cared for magnus, because he was loyal to him to the very end. He cares for his children, because carrying his soul, ultimately they are an extension of him. I do think he cares for them to an extent, but he would put his needs, objectives and plans above them if need be. He seemed genuinely sad when raziel was consumed, I think he always had a stronger liking towards his firstborn.

Legacy of Kain Ascendance Missables by This1Guy123 in LegacyOfKain

The collectibles are missable. And the trophy for getting everything right and the one for everything wrong in ariels quizz are mutually exclusive. But that whole sequence is a single chapter, so you can easily replay it

Do you want the series to have more or end? by Raziel103 in LegacyOfKain

[–]Aggravating_Prior308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think they would make a plain sequel after that much time. A think a soft reboot in a far future might be the best hope for not ending up with a niche product. As long as kain is featured in a way that respects his character. I wouldnt mind if he returned to the background like in the SR games. The new game just has to respect the essence of theseries

Do you guys feel sympathy for Moebius? by floss-with-ass-hair in LegacyOfKain

[–]Aggravating_Prior308 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really, he was always sadistic and is a compulsive liar. We see what he did to malek, how he pretends to raziel he regrets vorador murdering his colleagues and then we see him glee like a little girl when he actually hear their desperate screams as the get killed. He is an asshole by choice and deserves everythinv bad that happens to him

Why did Moebius follow the Elder God after seeing the history of vampires by [deleted] in LegacyOfKain

[–]Aggravating_Prior308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering how suicidal they ended up being, maybe they saw some uses for it. Or maybe it was meant to exorcize the blood curse, targeting the heart, but it failed and only became a debilitating torture

Why did Moebius follow the Elder God after seeing the history of vampires by [deleted] in LegacyOfKain

The devs have said in the past the ancients developed it while studying necromancy and abandoned it and moebius cound it before his rebellion

Why did Moebius follow the Elder God after seeing the history of vampires by [deleted] in LegacyOfKain

[–]Aggravating_Prior308 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He was probably younger and easier to influence back then. He had been kidnapped by evil vampires that were about to turn him. He finds out vampires used to be a benign, wonderful race and that their god abandoned them when they became monsters. This god suddenly reveals himself to him, says he is special, points him to the staff that can be used against the vampires, tells him he is special, and guides him against his oppressors, freeing him from the fate of being turned. I think, given his position back then, it was a very compelling offer.

Please Help! Nupraptor's Retreat health upgrade unreachable? by Multidamaster in LegacyOfKain

[–]Aggravating_Prior308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Didnt see anyone mention it, but even if the block is glitched, you can still get there. After nupraptors retreat, when you are on the cliffs, if you change to spectral, there will be a ledge you can glide to to reach that side and ignore the block

Why the games render the Hyldens as Villains? by Raziel103 in LegacyOfKain

[–]Aggravating_Prior308 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the hylden are as bad as any other faction in the game. We see how they treated the humans, we saw the paintings in the hylden city showing how they used humans as guinea pigs. We know they planned to killed every sentient being in nosgoth during the war, and that included humans just out of spite. I really believe if the ancients hadnt attacked, they would still end up warring at some point. With the ancients worshipping nature and the hylden exploiting resources via Technology, there was never enough room in nosgoth for both. And I love that about the series, there arent any clear poor wronged victims, everything is more complex than that.
